Hey Petza, I've heard/ read that as well however in LA traffic my coolant and oil temps were actually reading higher prior to the 3rd radiator install (+5-15 deg). Oil would consistently read 200 deg and now it's 175-185 on most days. Coolant also shows a difference. Also the gauges do increase value when you pushing the car hard. I got the oil up just under 200 a few times on my Vegas run, but it came back down quickly and stabilized once I laid off the throttle. So they do work, but I'm not sure at what granularity.
My oil temp always exceeds my water temp.
The water temp is a dummy gauge. I am wondering how well your oil temp sender is operating.

FWIW the only time my 2010 C4S PDK water temp went above 175 (got to 180) was when my oil temp reached 275. I've hit 275 many times but only once did the water temp exceed 175.
My oil temp always exceeds my water temp.

oh joy. I'll try to do some durametric logging and compare/ contrast observed vs actual values.

Had problem overheating one time stuck in traffic.
Water and oil gauge went up to the point i had to pull over and shut it off.
Rather than my usual DIY skills I went with the expertise of my local indy.
A good decision.
They can plug it up to their computer and operate everything from the keyboard.
Turned out everything was fine and hasnt happened since.
Best $50 spent that year.

My girlfriend added some HRE’s courtesy of another RL’s and my nudging that the black on black with black wheels was very....black.
Bought these wheels and they were black so we had them powder coated in Titanium Gold.

I knocked the "audio" button off my stereo! So whilst I'm trying to source a new one (Porsche don't sell them so trying to find a dead PCM stereo to recycle a button from) I decided to cheer myself up and give my steering wheel a facelift with some carbon fiber wrap. Turned out quite nice.

I "installed" a Sea Sucker rack! Literally the easiest thing I've ever done, it took all of about 15 seconds to attach the thing to the car and about another 20 to get the bike settled in. I grabbed it and shook it as hard as I could and neither it or the bike moved at all.....just managed to shake the car around!

The wife and I washed the C4S along with its garage mate a 2006 Cayman S, both first year cars for their models. After stretching their legs on a short drive, we parked them in a freshly painted garage it took us the last four days to paint.
