No, I did not use a fuel stabilizer. This winter, I let the car sit longer than previous ones where I had started the car every three weeks or so. What product do you recommend?

Best
I put it up on my 4 post lift to improve access

I don't think I removed either header to do the plugs and coils, but may have done one side - think I only did that for the water pump though. I definitely didn't remove the bumper - I've done that before and it's not hard, but not needed for plugs and coils. There is an updated version of the coils with a thicker back that requires longer fasteners. They're supposed to have a longer service life with less cracking so if you're buying new ones, look for those - sorry I don't have the part #s handy. The new ones usually come with the longer fasteners included in the box.

I use Stabil 360.for fuel stabilizer.

Lol, I guess I set myself up for that one. I'm going to check what suncoast carries, they had an Oem coil set that was reasonably priced. I'll call to see if it's the better version.

All this to get ready for a track day in April. I can't wait have the car running perfect again for the event.

Thanks

Now, why would you go and do something crazy like that? GT3 already in the driveway?

Not yet! First sell, then buy. I’ve had a 993 cab, a 997 GTS, and now selling my 997S. As a Carrera enthusiast, there are some very nice models I’ve not yet owned, but there’s still time.

If you are selling your car and decide to sell your dual cold intake can I have first dibs?

I contacted Suncoast and they only carry one PN for the coils (for my car). They said it was the latest available. Is it possible to find the PN for the better coil you were referring to? I'm thinking either the 3.6 engine does not have a Porsche oem option or they only sell the standard part that came with the original car?
Thanks

Sorry all for deviating from the thread...

Default Reset service light !

Received my Durametric and reset the service light on my 997.2.
The software wasn't very intuitive to use, but I finally figured it out. Now I have 2 years or 20,000 miles till the next "Service Now" appears again.

Wanted to hear how the car sounded accelerating so had my s/o film a quick flyby. With all of the rain we've been having, actually getting to drive it counts as doing something

Default Exhaust

Removed my exhaust tips fro my 09 997.2 4S, had them powder coated gloss black and reinstalled along with new Fister exhaust to add to Billy Boat Crossover center bipass.
Friend voicemail said sound awesome like a Maserati.
