Started my car and no power steering and no battery charge, because, well . . . no serpentine belt.
So I had it towed and was advised a tension pulley had, well . . . exploded.
Water pump shaft was a little wobbly too.
OK.
I had planned to change the belt when replacing the water pump in about 4000 miles, but decided to spoil myself and let my beloved indy do all the work.

The FVD tune feels pretty good. More midrange pull through the gears. I can feel the extra pull starting at 3k rpm. On my favorite backroad I stayed in third and rolled around between 3 and 4 k rpm. It's a twisty road.

Do you have any other mods besides the tune?

Just got back from vacation with the family. When we pulled in the driveway my wife asked what do we miss the most. Wife was the bed, kids was the dog... and I just got in the 997 and left

8 days with the wife and kids, I needed some backroad stress relief

I got my son (a junior in college) some quality 911 seat time this weekend...... this summer is the first time that he's gotten out on the main roads in the 6MT, but he's getting more comfortable each time. That said, he still has to think through every shift and gets nervous at a 4-way intersections, so I'm not handing him the keys just yet 😬

As a dedicated 6MT junkie, I've clearly failed as a parent to insist that our kids learn stick FIRST, but the reality is that none of the driving schools around here where the kids take their driver's training have any stick cars! Oh well, I'll grab the chances that I can while they're home over the summer to make up for it!

^ You just need to do what my father did--spend 30 minutes teaching me how to engage 1st and then tossing me the keys in the middle of downtown and telling me to drive home by myself (10 miles away in the suburbs). You learn how to drive stick real quick.

I have the BMC air filters and Fabspeed X pipe. If I get a chance I will take it to the dyne just to see what I actually have. There is a 4 wheel dyno in Manasses Va that I have gone to before. Place called P Tuning.

Picked up an OEM aero decklid and found time today to install it. I also moved the lettering from my previous decklid. I think some may not like the lettering, but it works for me.

Thumbs up

I like the lettering, your new decklid and VMI.

I would like to replace the silver "S" on my C2S with a red letter "S". What is the secret to keeping it lined up properly?

Installed clear side marker lights on my '12 C2S and used my Durametric to enable them to flash as Direction Indicator (i.e. turn signal) lights.
