Removed the driver side door panel. Replaced the door pivot lever. Not to bad of a repair.

Thank you.

Indeed it is Pasha (reproduction), a flannel used between 1980 and 1984 in the 911, 914, and 928. Most people opt for Pepita (houndstooth) but I felt this pattern fit the character of my white GT3 much better. It should be done in a few days and I'll definitely post photos when it's done. Hopefully it's not delayed because the upholster did call me to let me know the pattern was giving the upholsterer working on the job a serious headache.

Put on my winter tires and rims. In the nick of time as it started to snow while I was doing it!
Also installed the new Porsche centre caps to replace the red and white striped Victor Equipment caps that came with the wheels. I ordered the caps from Vietnam on eBay - it took about 4 months to get them but the price was right - about $30. They actually match the wheel colour fairly well.

Picked these up from a local-ish kijiji seller, all for C$360! Result.

Irony - don’t even have a bicycle to transport with it, but my daughter will soon learn, so I guess it’s time I bought another one for myself.

Took it on a PCA rally.
Great selection of old and new cars.

Loved this old blue Porsche. Think it's a 912, but didn't get close enough to check it out.
There was also a 911R. A few GT4s. A bunch of fun.

Default Detailed my 997.2 today

Gave my Rupes polisher quite a workout using it for compounding, polishing and then waxing. I do it once a year using mostly Meguiars product. Swirl marks and spider webbing imperfections were all eliminated, but I refrain from over-doing these task to preserve the clear coat as long as I could.

Any pictures of the end results? I'm sure it looks great.

Passed 104K miles on a Coastal run, and had my first failure ...

Looking for radio news in a no signal area the front speakers shut off and the rear offered incomprehensible bass only. Tried a CD. Same thing. Next stop and restart solved the problem. Hmmm?

Try pulling and reinstalling the 2 fuses for the Bose system - I think they're #s 6 & 7. Should resolve the issue if it happens again and might reset the sound from the system too - some say doing this actually improves the sound.

I replaced all my Bose speakers with Focals, which sounds much more balanced and cleaner. Kept the Bose amp in the front, but replaced the one in the sub enclosure with a more powerful Alpine unit that also has a Bass adjustment ****. What I do now is run the PCM at full bass (+9) which brings some of it out of the woofers and midrange speakers in the doors and rear seat area, then fill in to the level I want from the rear subs.

Write-up is attached.

Great times @Wayne and David. Thx for the invite.

The fuse for the PCM and amp is D10 and D25.

Some more pics of the day. @Wayne Smith and David played hooky and did a 12hr rip up the coast and back.

Each road was more amazing than the last. After seeing those roads I decided after god created dry earth on day 3 and rested on day 7, he likely bought a Porsche on day 8 and ripped up the California coast :-).

Wow Pete!!! Just had a chance to look at your write up. Another act of over achieving. Well done and most impressive. Thanks.
