Suncoast parts. I paid 1000 and change... It is the OEM Porsche wheel.

There is an excellent guide how to do it on Flickr...

You just need a 10mm to disconnect the battery, a long alen key to remove the airbag, unclip the connectors, a t55 to remove the bolt and pull the wheel out... Then, backwards for the install... All in all you are looking maybe 20 mins of work...

The damn thing is so nice and especially in sports and sports plus, the shifts are f1 like!!!

Highly recommended! N

New wiper cowl on, looks great - besides the warping issue the old one really was faded out. Following advice from this forum, polished car with Zymol cleaner wax followed by a coat of Griots Paint Sealant, Seal Gray never looked better.

I changed both the left and right radiator on my 997.1 Turbo. I had not seen anything online on how to remove those radiators but got through it. It was a lot of work.

Awesome kouzman.

Did a high speed White Castle run before the pats and ravens game. 17F and grip was decent. Should have eaten the fries on the way but needed to keep an eye on the coke in the cup holder. :+)

Looks like you have the same car as mine unless you bought the buckets later which doesn't happen much. So you must have had the PDK wheel with the buttons before the swap. If I'm right about that, did everything connect like plug & play with the swap? I'm asking because there's talk about having to add some kind of module/converter when switching from the buttons to the paddles. Also, the new wheel looks thicker than stock in the pictures. Is it?

I have a launch car too. Yes the original wheel was the one with the buttons. And yes the new one is a bit thicker.

The swap is 100% bolt on. No modules no additional parts. The 2010 and newer have the steering wheel that has the indicators for sport and sport plus. For this one you need the module, however you are looking for at least an additional 300-400 for the swap.

There is a nice photo set on Flickr that shows how to do the swap. 100% accurate and very helpful. I highly recommend it!

Now I am trying to find an idea to color the small ring on the top that shows the center. I want to make it yellow most probably, like the GT3s...

Well...you can always order a new wheel from Dallas Custom and choose the color of the stripe http://www.dallassteeringwheel.com/p...tara_Front.jpg

and then put your old, unstriped, outdated, existing wheel up for sale here.
