Hi everyone,

I recently changed my PCM 2.1 to a Pioneer AVIC8100NEX from Del Rey Customs. I also put in a very stealth backup camera. This is mounted flush between the license plate lights.

In the process of updating the radio head I seemed to have broken my MOST loop or killed my amp or phone because no sound is coming out of the speakers.

I have tried everything short of bringing it to the dealership. Fuses, 148 reset, kinked fiber optics, etc.

I want to try to swap the exact same Bose amp but I do not know how to get it off the mounting bracket?

Could someone share some "Know how" with me? Does the bracket slide to the right and come off or a small trick like that?

I want to get it off and match the model number exactly so I know I replaced it with the correct one.
I am going to bypass the "old" phone unit to eliminate that out of the MOST loop equation since my new head provides the new phone and nav features.

Thanks in advance,
Andy

I fixed the rattling tension bar in the headliner. I only had to partially remove the passenger side A and C pillar in order to get to the loose bar. I secured with double sided foam insulation in the insertion hole in the mount and wrapped once with electrical tape.

Not hard but stressful as I didn't want to break any clips (ok I broke one on the C pillar but it still fits plenty snug) or scratch any of the leather. Also getting in and out of the backseat multiple times is a real joy.

Swapped old Button PDK wheel for paddleshifter Techquipment wheel on Thursday.

Rick-ko,

Great DIY thread on the emblem changeover. I was surprised how much I liked it. Looks great. I added the smarttop module in December. One of the best mods I have done. Makes life very easy locking and top up or unlocking and top down with the key.

Good to see another MDer on here.

John-- I really like the look of the new back emblem too -- very clean.

The smarttop rocks-- truly a must have for cabriolet cars! I'm in Crofton-- a few of us around the Annapolis area!
