The tech changes for me with PDK, Sport Chrono Plus, LSD, Sport -20mm PASM do it for me because I enjoy going to the track. The new 19" Carrera S wheels looks great in my opinion but my wife likes the turbo wheels better still.

I did not see the "shift up" light mentioed, I have it on my saab and hate it

I wonder if any of the upgrades will be available for the current model, I like the lights that move and the IPOD connector

Does anyone know when allocations are going out and when orders will start to be taken for North America?

Nice subtle changes inside and out. It is a Porsche, so hard not to like something with the same DNA. Not sure about the bigger side mirrors, but that's a nit.

I did notice that all the cars had clear side markers.... which is good (european models only?).

Hi lgascoig,

I see that you are in the Bay Area too. I talked to my salesperson George at Porsche of Fremont, he mentioned that around September they will see the first cars arrive. If you want to order your car, give Georage a call. He is a straightforward person to deal with.

With best regards,
- Alex, 07 997S.

Thanks axhoaxho. I have been working with Carlsen in Redwood City since it's only 3 miles from my house. He told me that, "I'll let you know" when they're ready to order. But I don't really care when they're ready to order, I care more about when it is possible to order. I haven't been entirely happy with them and if they're jerking me around at all I'd pull my deposit in a second and go with someone else.

Halogens are no longer available; both S and non-S get Bixenons.

Thumbs down

So can someone explain to me exactly why the -20mm/LSD option has been available in Europa this whole time and not here, when Porsche was obviously planning to offer it with the 09 "upgrade" the whole time? Ummmm......did I just answer my own question?

You obviously could not drive an F1 as their steering wheels are far busier.
