yeah . . . I finally found it after someone else pointed out. Just goes to show how accurate journalists are.

so the new lb/hp ratio is 8.2, and the old was 8.8. a small improvement but an improvement nonetheless.

but I still feel better.

Damn them and their flappy paddle gearbox and sport chrono, they're going to blow my budget. I wanted to get in for < 100k out the door. Just the base S + paint to sample, sport seats, and a tiny bit of leather after tax in Ca is going to be 100k.

The new center console is sexy.

I agree with that. It no longer looks like a graphing calculator.

Am I the only one that thinks the PDK steering wheel looks ridiculous?

I don't really understand why Porsche bucks convention and puts the paddles on the front. I hate them whenever I drive a Cayenne loaner as I inevitably hit them on accident and put myself in manual mode.

No quarrel with either the exterior or interior updates. Don't see anything that is offensive.

I look forward to trying the thumb paddles. Was however, hoping for some pull-type paddles behind the steering wheel. I'm sure it will be quite fast on the track.

Considering my '08 Targa has been in my garage for only 6 months, I don't anticipate a change. But I do want that additional power.

-20mm sport suspension w/PASM available in US now.

Beautiful!

Car looks sooo much better lowered to this ride height (.79 inches).

Didn't see any mention of the sport exhaust...Does the base exhaust sound any different?

Sort of seems like no big deal ... don't see anything really wrong with it, but also don't find the changes all that compelling.

I'm not crazy about the new cosmetic changes to the front and rear; but they're not bad. I don't care for the new wheels, but I'd just opt for the Carrera Sports.

Some nice new convenience stuff, but certainly nothing that would make me consider trading in my '06. The new touchscreen PCM, available satellite radio, IPod interface are all things I wouldn't object to having; but I don't care much about any of them. I'm usually paying too much attention to enjoying driving to really care about all that stuff. Sure, extra HP/Torque is always welcome ... but it looks like a pretty minor bump in power here. Frankly, if I needed more performance than I'm getting from my '06 I'd just get a GT3 instead. I guess PDK is a nice option for some, but I still prefer an old fashioned manual transmission instead.

It's nice to see "volcano gray" trim is apparently gone; I've never liked it (actually sort of hate it) but I can certainly continue to live with it.

Overall though I can't imagine what they could have done with a simple refresh of the current model that would have gotten me to consider switching.

I don't like the new tail lights. They seem too narrow, almost like they are squinting at you.

30 HP on the S and 20 on the C2. They must have put the RSS plenum on the new model

Prefer the '05 thru '08 997. Just perfect IMHO. Rear of FL with the new tail lights looks flawed.

I am not crazy about the looks of the wheel - why bring the plastic out into the diameter? Its not necessary and boy racerish in my mind, just leave it leather. The resigned center stack is nice tho. IMHO, the exterior changes are a yawn.

I noticed "LED Daytime Running Lights" listed as new.
I sure hope DRLs are driver selectable like they are on the first gen 997s.
I am NOT a fan of DRLs, LED or otherwise (my apologies to you Canadians).
