Is it something like:
So many medical procedures done in a year
So many landings/flights in a year
So many houses built
So many 'deals' you closed
etc etc
Get what I'm trying to ask?

Okay, I'm back.
Is it business related or a personal hobby of yours? ... I'm guessing it's a personal hobby of yours, since it probably wouldn't cost you if it was business related. ... And by having achieved this "target" do you consider yourself to be a member of a 500 club or something like that? In other words, do you know others who have also achieved this feat?

Kind of a hobby and yes others also acheived this specific target/specific application even prior to 1985; just not that many and not any specific club I can think of or remember.

In 2006 was almost at 500 again but fell short in one respect and went 16 over in another.
Gentlemen, the 500 I refer to is truly nothing earth shattering, but at the time (over 20 years ago) and especially only being 25 years of age it was significant for me and significant in it's own right. Ben and a few others seem to enjoy a little sleuth work so I'm playing along wondering how much longer it will take for someone to figure it out..

Hold on just one minute, I think I found an inaccuracy in your statement that has misled me somewhat.
A unit is a single count in the numeric collection that make up 500 of said identical units.
Seems like you meant to say "three occasions of 500 achieved all within the same year". Is that how you meant it?
If so, then 1500 units were achieved in 1985, correct? And if so, that meant an average of approximately 4 units a day in 1985, correct?
