Hey Ian, good to see you too.

Btw, did you explain what "Mr Bonus" stood for? ... hold on, let me do a search. I think I still remember how.

Default Screen Name...............

Let me introduce myself................

I am new to the forum and starting my research to purchase my first Porsche!

I have wanted one for most of my life, but marriage and doing the "rational" thing has kept me from owning one. Every time I would mention it, my wife would just explode...I think that is due to me going out and buying a 5 series BMW without consulting her over 20 years ago. Can you believe that??

Well the times, they are a changin'...................

I am reaching that time and she is buying into the idea and now wants to take the difference between what I spend and she spends on a new car to take cruises and that just fine with me.

Anyway...........LOONEY2N.....no, I am not a descendant of the famous cartoon, but as most of you with your history of P car ownership, I went through the inflatable pontoon boat ownership (for running rivers/fly fishing).

After the 3rd new boat in 2 years, her father commented on what a "Looney Tune" I was and it stuck.

I must say, after reading for hours and hours on this board over the past 10 days, you guys (and gals) have been a wealth of knowledge in learning about my dream car.

I cannot thank you enough for the freedom sharing so much and making it accessible to someone before they make the purchase!!

I like to DRIVE, shoot clay targets, fly fish and golf........not neccessarily in that order

Thanks again................Jack

The story of my username (and nickname) is probably not appropriate for this forum but its worth a few laughs. Back in college, I was home for winter break and was over my gf's house. Her parents werent home so we took advantage and were having "relations" in her bedroom when her mom came home early. We quickly threw our clothes and rushed downstairs to show nothing was going on.

Mrs Miller - "Hi Kenny, how is everything?"
Me - "Great Mrs Miller, I made the deans list this semester"
Mrs Miller - (grabbing my cheek) "oooh, Kenny, you are SUCH a good boy!"

My gf (out of earshot from mom and shaking her head) - "You just banged her daughter...yeah right you are a good boy!"

The name stuck.

Maybe he got paid by Chesterfield to promote their cigarettes.

The truth is that by the time he entered public life he had long since quit smoking.

Hauser III is the name of the luthier that made one of the classical guitars that I used to play when I made a living playing classical guitar. Well, make a living is an overstatement; let's say, it's one of the guitars I played when my only job was being a professional classical guitarist and my wife supported me. Now I'm a lawyer. Go figure.
