Okay, since it represents a numeric count, I would have to say that it's a significant milestone of some kind. If it was just a count, it's unlikely that the count would have ended on such an even number as 500. ... So the counting may be ongoing but the significant milestone of 500 has been reached.

Is it a milestone?

If yes, is your company in the Fortune 500? Or are you in any way associated with the Fortune 500?

Yes it's a milestone of sorts.
I have an indirect relationship with quite a few fortune 500 companies but that's not what 500 implies or refers to.
