My nickname at work and with friends is Captain B. It started with a 1999 Aquasport that lost not one, but both engines at 2 a.m. while cruising up the ditch - a/k/a the the intracoastal (Evinrude 200s made by OMC which were inherently defective and had this great capacitor that would just "fry" at about 125 hours without warning). The following words were then spoke, "Ricky, drop the anchor." The reply was "Yes, Captain B." Ever since then I have been known as Captain B. The 412 represents my birthday 4/12 - we won't even go for the year!

Before they became as popular to ride as today, I had a custom, low compression stroker Harley dresser. When I'd roll into the local motorcycle shop, folks would holler "Baggerman's here". Harley dressers are known as "baggers" because ... duh ... they have saddlebags on them. Most of the guys didn't really have names (Ace, Squint, Lefty, Fingers, Tats, yada, yada) and I was called Bagger. The alias stuck.
In the mid 90s I got involved in the Internet and when they first asked for a username, I used Baggerman. When I switched services, that name was taken and I typed Baggerdude instead.

CaptB - Great story as well.
Baggerdude - For some reason I was thinking you worked at Ralph's. Thanks for clearing that up.

Max Power
Besides the obvious meaning.... I was trying to think of people who have given themselves pseudonyms, and I thought of Homer Simpson:
Homer: I'd like to legally change my name!
Judge: What name would you prefer?
Homer: Any of these will be fine.
Judge: Hmm. "Hercules Rockefeller". "Rembrandt Q. Einstein".
"Handsome B. Wonderful". Huh, I'm going to give you the only
name you spelt correctly. From this day forward, your name
shall be ...
[cut to a shot of Lisa, reading from a sheet of paper on the
Simpsons' couch]
Lisa: "Max Power"?
Homer: Dynamic, isn't it?
Bart: I love it, Max.
Marge: You changed your name without consulting me?
Homer: That's the way Max Power is, Marge. Decisive.
Uncompromising! And rude!
Marge: But I fell in love with Homer Simpson! I don't want to
snuggle with "Max Power"!
Homer: Nobody snuggles with Max Power. You strap yourself in and
feel the "G"s!
Marge: Oh, Lord.
Homer: And it doesn't stop in the bedroom. Oh, no. I'm taking
charge! Kids, there's three ways to do things. The right
way, the wrong way, and the Max Power way!
Bart: Isn't that the wrong way?
Homer: Yeah, but faster!

snarf - I was just too lazy to think of something original, snarf was a name used by my son, he was a big Thundercats fan, so much so that when he and some student friends formed a band they called themselves "Snarf Takes up the Challenge" not exactly a catchy name but they were popular for a while. Entropy eventually took its toll and the band members went there separate ways - they played their last gig a few weeks ago. For anyone interested you can check them and their music out at: http://www.snarftakesupthechallenge.co.uk/ however, those of a sensitive nature should be warned that the lyrics often contain some colourful language.

Let's see now, doesn't seem like it would be a common name here,
Is it: Viran? Irvan? Arvin?
Rinav . Rinva . Ranvi . Raniv . Rivna . Ravni . Ravin?
Varni . Varin . Vanri . Vanir . Vinar . Vinra?
Navir . Navri . Nirva . Nirav . Narvi . Nariv?
Avirn . Avnir . Anvir . Anvri . Arniv?
Ivran . Ivnar . Ivarn . Irvna?
I think I pretty much exhausted the possibilities with the shotgun approach.
![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I'm sure I hit it somewhere.

"Cowhorn" is the nickname given to a particular forcep used to extract lower molar teeth. It is shaped like a pair of cowhorns. I use them on a daily basis, and they allow me to earn the bread that funds my Porsche habit(s). Not what you expected, right?

ELUSIVE was the name of my family's ski boat when I was growing up. The day I turned 16 my parents gave me full access to the boat. From that point on ELUSIVE was my life during the summer months in Vermont. My buddies and I all got jobs working at night and spent every day on Lake Champlain having as much fun as we possibly could.
