GTS Cars For Sale On The Web

Strong ask for an AWD, PDK, Comfort Seat Coupe.
Low miles helps, as does the $125K MSRP and CPO.
We likely will never know what a buyer pays for it- unlike BaT and PCAR auctions.
For me, its a $90K car. Clean CarFax and one owner, besides the two dealerships that titled it.

Absent dozens of HD pictures, my guess is a shot in the dark- but, as I said, we will never know the actual sale price, or if it sells at all... unless the ad drops off the website.

Sandwedge and I have traded observations about commercial aircraft evolving into machines whose automation levels diminish the skills (and situational awareness) of the operators. Yeah, the pilots pretty much become automation monitors rather than manipulators of flight controls and power levels to bend the machine towards the will of the pilot and his/her ideal perfection of the flight path. In a fly-by-wire and auto-throttle Airbus, good pilots become mediocre pilots and poor pilots become mediocre pilots, as well.
So many airlines are telling their pilots to leave the flying to the auto pilot to the greatest extent possible. Great idea? I don't think so. Not likely but what if the auto pilot fails? On a typical 2-3 hour domestic flight, following these guidelines, the typical pilot may get a total of 5 minutes of actually flying the plane. How sharp will he/she be having to hand fly an approach to minimums in lousy weather?

The auction ends in 15 mins for the above car…now at about $67K.
High mile RWD 6MT SPASM LSD Canadian Coupe. No mods.
Dealer serviced, claims no bad weather or track driving.
Clear tailights and some Exclusive Manufaktur optioned high-gloss interior black trim pieces. I would have spec’ed lots of leather with that $. (CAN $133K MSRP)
I’m not a fan of that gloss look- but shiny carbon and exterior color painted interior panels don’t do it for me, either…just reflect glare and distract from an otherwise understated business like cockpit. Can-can lobster red leather, or even the 997 GT2 bordello treatment are particularly garish to my eyes…
CPO through next year and can purchase additional 2 years for US $1500/yr.
A well kept GTS from the pics. Full paint correction after old PPF removed. Like new, but has a plate drilled front bumper with no plugs.
Based on recent sales of that configuration and mileage- it’s a $80K car plus 5% buyer fee. Also a 2.8% US import fee if heading south of the border.

RNM at $68K.
If one can get around the 97K miles, a cleaner, better documented/maintained/presented 997 GTS would be hard to find.
Seller will try again in spring.

So in Canada we have a 997 whatsapp chat group and this car came up in discussion yesterday. Below is a link to 2 years ago when the car was for sale at Pfaff. Generally a car with 160k has some stories. Thank you internet lol

Combined with that car's history...I would walk (quickly) away from it- even at $70K.

The profoundly promulgated RF expatiations seem somewhat out of place in the pedestrian eBay listing format...but I quote from it thusly:
"The GTS is the last of the high horse powered, naturally-aspirated, right-sized, and classic-svelte-911-shaped 911 Carreras. Positioned in-between the GT3 and the S models, the GTS variant is the absolute pinnacle in the 911 Carrera range! Its standard features include (but are not limited to) a wider rear track; Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM); a variable resonance intake system (mid-rev range torque adder); Integrated dry-sump lubrication; and a Sports exhaust system. Though lively-natured, it's also very livable with daily practicality in mind. With the GTS, you're able to have an encounter with a Carrera in its most effervescently exploited form and the cabriolet's intimacy with the open-air deepens the emotive impact that the GTS imparts on its driver."
This Cab, although posessing a first-rate build sheet, can only aspire to live up to that $90K of hype.

Hey Liste! Long time no chat. Haven’t been in this thread for a while. After your above post I’m so glad I maxed my value on my 30k mile meteor grey 4GTS Cabrio 6MT in May 2022 and traded it in for $92k! Exceeded all my expectations after buying it in Oct 2020 on PCARMARKET for $65k plus fees. I think that might have been the height of the recent bubble, but for all your guys’ sake, I hope not!

Here's a 67K-mile, GR, Sport Chrono PDK, Aerokit Coupé on eBay, asking $77.5K.
MSRP was $125.6K...Aerokit, carbon interior, SPASM- but with manual comfort seats.
Higher miles and PDK perhaps offset by color, Aero and SPASM.
Aaaaaaand...a $12K (plus install labor) VF Engineering supercharger kit claimed increase- at crank- of 408 to 520 hp and 320 to 390 lb torque.
Sounds like fun.
Ask @Petza914 about linear power delivery on a 997 platform.
