Is anyone familiar with the high-mileage 997 GTS at Pfaff right now? Any interesting history?

Interesting. Still a lot of money for 150K!

For what it's worth...in my experience the GTS feels exactly like a Carrera S to drive other than a bit more intake howl. It does not have the steering / chassis / turn-in feel of a GT car or specifically a 997.2 GT3.
Just an FYI.

Car is sold lol... Not to me unfortunately. Pfaff literally has/ had 5 911's in stock. Crazy times.

My father in law is who had the car on hold, pending PPI. This morning the car went to Engineered Automotive for PPI and unfortunately it did not pass theirs or my standards, regardless of the mileage. Your opinion may vary. Some of the issues may or may not be able to be resolved through the existing CPO still on the car, but still beyond my comfort zone. Whoever is next in line, I strongly suggest having your own PPI completed and not purchase sight unseen.

Hahah just got a text from them saying car is back available. Care to share what the issues were?

You can PM and I'll share the specifics. In Pfaff's defense, a lot of the issues could likely be resolved via the CPO process, as they'd be obligated to deal with the issues found in order to CPO it again (if they in fact even able to CPO it per Porsche requirements). It would cost Pfaff a lot of money to bring it up to spec though, and I am not sure the math would work out @ $70k asking price. As always, Pfaff has been great to deal with throughout the process and they were understanding about our decision to pass.
Everyone's opinions are different, and someone else may think the car is perfectly good value - especially if the car can be CPO'd again for the asking price. But we were looking for a car my FIL could just buy, do basic maintenance and enjoy the car with not too much messing around or known upfront risk. This car could have just as easily been a high mile'er that otherwise was in great shape and ready to go - but that's why we do PPI's so we're not taking blind risk.
