Here is what I would do
lets make sure the camera works: do NOT connect the single red wire to the purple wire, but connect the black wire to ground and the red wire to +12V
plug in the yellow plug in the rear camera plug of the CarPlay harness
put the car in reverse you should see a picture from the camera
if that doesn’t work something else is broken or misconfigured
After that disconnect the camera and do that
if you have a multimeter then measure if the two red wires (on both ends are connected, they should be)
I just remember: did you set the rear view camera to “aftermarket” in the setup screen?

are you connecting the camera to backup rear light for the 12 volt with NATIKA camera and the purple for activation by CarPlay? Plus ground.

don't have a video, as there are many videos about it on YouTube
I have it now for ~2 months and it's very reliable. I had only one incident so far where the wireless connection dropped

Hey guys,
I am picking up my 2009 turbo this weekend and I have a bluetooth transmitter for my drive back (14 hours). I am looking at doing this carplay upgrade although from everything I thought I had read installation of this unit essentially disabled all the PCM features and was only able to use carplay (seems it just used the screen and the buttons).
Rereading this thread this may be correct and it is possible to go back and forth between the stock PCM setup and the carplay (long press of info?). If this is the case I am going to get this for sure and wire in most likely a front and rear camera (only front as I will be doing a laser blocking setup as well).
So basically I would like confirmation that all the original PCM features are still accessible and functioning with this unit? If it isn't can you let me know what features I will lose from the PCM3.0 by going this route?
Thanks guys

Confirmed. You can still use all of the PCM functions; can toggle back and forth with Carplay.
