I am going to walk through my procedure with my Indy and have them check all bolts and torque settings.
I feel pretty good about it because the car's suspension is quieter and feels like new. I love the ride, I guess it is firmer, but it just feels more like what I would expect a Porsche to feel like
Again I will report back once the pros have a chance to review my work...
So I've read this thread a ton of times and in weird act of symmetry TheBruce quotes my data on spring rates in his original thread. So while in COVID lockdown I finally got up the courage to get this done and install eibach's on my 997.2.
Took just over 9 hours, which isn't bad given that the shop will charge 6 hours of labour - fronts are easy when you loosen the LCA inner bolt - it's almost magical how the suspension drops with even 1/4 of a turn. Rears were a bit harder as I took the lazy route and just took off the rear sway bar (as I'm planning on putting a thicker one on) as undid the toe arm to get clearance. If I had to do it again I figure I could get it done much quicker.
Anyway - great writeup and data and thanks!! I'm going to leave it a week or so before I get a alignment and I have spacers ready to go on after that.
@Tj40 great to hear and that's for that original writeup. Yea those fronts a soooo easy when you loosen that bolt. Dont even need to take off the brake caliper. Ive been meaning to do a writeup on that. I replaced my front strut mount a couple weeks ago and took me one hour.
@VT Blue only because the spacers didnt arrive in time And the word from the pros is you dont need an alignment after installing spaces.

Can I please ask for some guidance on the P/Ns of the replacement parts shown in this photo?
I am planning to install a new set of Ohlins R&T Coilovers on an 06 C2S w/ PASM (I will be disabling PASM) Car has 108k on it, so will refreshing where necessary. Plan is to drop the car to ~1 finger above the tire.
Rear Strut Mount - 997 333 061 00, correct?
Washer P/N
Nut P/N
Other Items to consider? What to replace in the front?
Thanks to all that have contributed to this thread, it has been helpful preparing for this.
Jim
I have a 2005 C2S and trying to track down part numbers for all the parts that should be replaced. Obviously, the bump stops should be replaced. Perhaps the shock bellows as well. How about the front and rear spring plates?
If the spring plates should be replaced:
How does one figure out what front spring plate (3.5 mm vs 6.5 mm) should be used?
How does one figure out what rear spring plate (.5 mm vs 4.0 mm) should be used?
Any advice from those that done this is highly appreciated.
Take a look at this thread - it has a page or two of part of the suspension. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...nt-shocks.html
As for determining the thickness of the compensating plate, since I was converting to coilovers I had everything apart and then ordered the new ones based on what I found.
You should try to locate a parts manual. You may find one here on rennlist or perhaps renntech.org. I can email or PM you some specific pages if you'd like.

Just installed new B12 fronts (B8 plus Eibach springs) today. Rears are next.
I realized I don't have these clamp rings. Can't find them on Pelican, anyone know the product number?
Also, what did others do about the PASM cable as it goes through the chassi. I'm not too keen on it being lose there and chaffing against the metal.

I can't answer the clamp ring question as neither of my front struts had them. I just finished a B12 kit and my struts were the yellow Bilsteins. You say you already have these mounted?
