Default Speed Yellow at last

Acquired last week from a fellow rennlister nearby. As he pointed out, my 996TT collection is now the colors of the German flag. Didn't see that coming.
I am 3rd owner, car is 2002, has 16k miles, clean DME, original paint in fabulous condition, great spec ($128k MSRP), with tasteful use of yellow in the black leather interior (deviated stitching, seat belts, and center console). Lots of leather everywhere inside, and aluminum instrument faces, which I love. Car currently rides on red HRE wheels, but also came with refinished turbo twists which will be going on soon. Tires are PS2's with only a few hundred miles on them, and recent date codes. Can't wait to reshoot the car with the turbo twists back on. Tasteful mods by Shark Werks include Bilstein PSS10 coil-overs, RSS rear link kit, RSS toe steer kit, RSS Tarmac engine mounts, EvoMS tune to the ECU, Numeric shifter and cables. All corner balanced to a solid setup. Fairly sure car has never seen the track. The boost indicator on the dash showed up to 1.1 bar when I step on it in 3rd. Stock is 0.7 bar, right? (That's what my stock 996TT's top out at, if no leaks.) Car passed CA Smog a few days ago with no issue.

If the HRE wheels are of interest, PM me.

Repost with the turbo twists pls

Those HRE wheels belong somewhere else. They might look okay in gold or silver..maybe.

Nice car!

If the car is boosting 1.1 bar it def isnt a stock tune or if it is..somethings going on there.

Are the lines pinned? It might not be a bad idea to take out the elbow behind the alternator and pin it or use jbweld or some sort of expoxy (jbweld) to re-seal it. Mine just popped the other day.

I came across older threads where some people suggested putting jb weld on top of the existing fittings to prevent them from popping out. Ideally you should get them welded though if you drop the engine.

I think red wheels look pretty good on a seal grey car like the GT3 variant Porsche put out. That's about it though.

Can you post a pic of all your Turbos in line like the German flag?

Also, did you pick all 2001 on purpose because you enjoy no glovebox, or this is just what came up when it did?

Wonderful collection.

Speed Yellow is 2002, so I own one 996TT Glove Box!

I dropped engine and gearbox on black 996TT, but when it's all back together, Black/Red/Yellow would be a fun shoot.

Beautiful.

That one is going to be hard to beat when looking for your next 996TT.

Can I ask ballpark what you paid? I have a very similar opportunity to buy a 996 Turbo with the same miles.

Cheers, Mat

Congrats! The wheels are a nice contrasting color to the body.
