The fix is to remove the mirror and send it to these guys: https://www.radar-mirror.com/product...mirror-repair/

The liquid that can leak is the chemical goo between the glass that is used to darken the glass.

It’s the fluid inside the mirror used to control auto dimming. It’s not water.

Its sitting at 45k with one day left which means just about nothing but any thoughts?

A white turbo s is always going to be sought after and this looks like a nice example. The tips are starting to get more respect lately and I love the color matched twists.

yes i have been following a few of these sales and recently in the last few weeks I have noticed that people are holding onto money. Nonetheless this auction is not complete and tomorrow can bring it up. i have a 996 tt but its a six speed. My wife is not as happy as I am about the transmission choice, the only way i would trade to an automatic is either a 2005 or a 2004 with x50 package. So i am considering this one but i have put so much energy in getting my current 996 to meet my standards that I am not sure I want to do that all over again. Its interesting the brakes have not been replaced but i see that there has been flushing, i am sure the ceramic brakes are super expensive but damn they look good. The leak in the mirror and some of the pics that appear something leaked on the interior is holding me back. I guess i have 24 hours to decide.

Someone posted that there were a lot more Tips in the Turbo S cabs than 6 speeds, and anecdotally, that seems to be true, but I just don't know. I know of one Turbo S cab 6-speed in white (mine) but I've not seen another 6-speed in white.

That car will blow way past $100K and will be a steal soon enough, no matter what it hammers.

Looking back over it I see it’s a Tip Too bad would have probably set a 6TT Cab record. $84K all-in for a Cab-Tip 996 is not too shabby though Seller should be happy. Not nearly as happy as the next seller though

For a Tip cab $84k is record price. Much higher than past sales.

I guess I need to put my 2004 TT Cab Tip on BaT and see what it brings. It's metropol inside and outside with graphite top and 41.5k miles.

I know its not apples to apples but local dealership has two white 911 6 speed turbos, one with 20k and the other 10k miles. Asking $99k and $109k so I feel like $84k for a tip cab is pretty good.
