It want take long for the market to finally realize all 997.2> Turbos are standard Carrera wet sump motors. And correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t even the new GT’s just beefed up standard Carrera motors with external oil tank added after the fact?
The Mezger generations are eventually going Intergalactic $$$$$. Just inevitable

There are far less 993TTs around so they will probably be valued higher and there are even fewer 964Ts so higher value probably there too.

That's a big part of it. More and more people can afford one and more and more want one. Applies to most fun cars but very much so for Porsches. Plus in the days before values started growing there was a lot of attrition and many cars turned into track rats. Plus the 996tt sits right at the edge of analog vs digital. Simple chassis and little electronics, but modern car's build quality and reliability, and late model performance level. Plus the looks have aged spectacularly well.

It better because if it doesn't there's going to be a lot of very wealthy people with a lot of very expensive ICE collector cars who will not be able to drive them.
If there's one thing I've learned in life it's that super wealth people get what they want.

So, are you saying, that with doing all this resto work on my 996, will make it more valuable to sit in my garage than drive?

I’m all for cleaner air, but they can’t shut down refineries. There’s too much environmentalists aren’t considering. We may pay more and be taxed, but you can’t just eliminate gasoline. IMO

The super rich don’t like it when their collector purchases lose value.

Hello fellow 996’rs
Picked up a very nice 2002 TT yesterday with 72,000 kms (50k miles) in pastel yellow. Drive home was amazing, quite a change from our 87’ Carrera and 718 GTS Boxster. The previous owner is a highly regarded pcar service shop owner.
I’m the 4th owner, aside from 2x year services, some of the work done by the PO; Dropped the engine to do the coolant pipe pinning, also replaced coolant hoses, o’ rings, water pump, belt, ignition coils and spark plugs, Bilstein pps10 suspension, GT3 brakes, GT2 clutch disc and performance pressure plate, stock dual mass flywheel, new hyd. assist slave cylinder, Cobbs with a mild tune to match the Ruf exhaust system, Michelin PS2’s and mildly improved performance alignment

Pastel with PCCB is a phenomenally rare spec.
