I posted comparable sales of this latest car sale you posted and the price is in line with or higher than cars that have sold over the past nine months.

So are you in the market to buy a 996TT?

These are MY2001 cars. They have always been a little cheaper than the newer model years. You have to compare like for like as I did with the listings I posted. All 2001 low mileage cars.

no I have one

This, and color. As these cars age into classic 911’s the desirability of color inverts from conservative to exotic. IE the blacks and grays that fly off the new dealer lots will eventually stall out decades later in the premium auctions. And the lime greens and neon yellows that no dealer in his right mind would ever order from the factory, will eventually shatter the same classic 911 sales records over and over again ad infinitum.

Sell your blacks and grays while they’re still young.

With all due respect the tt posted by @!FossedM3 is obviously a clean low mileage example. Again with all due respect it could have been presented to be more appealing. The photos with all the shadows and so so lighting almost made it look like something was trying to be concealed. I know that was not the intent but they portrayed a car that drew no positive emotions. As we all know the emotional component is huge. It wasn't the number of photos but the quality. I am sure the wheels are perfect but that was hard to discern from the photos. Take those photos perpendicular to the wheel from a set ( close) distance at the level of the wheel and the same for each wheel to show off those super clean assets. I have no skin in this as I have a beautiful tt and there is no way I am selling. I firmly believe if you present this beautiful car in a different way you will get what you want and nothing but the best wishes with that.

The car has a $2,000 ceramic coat and I had a very hard time photographing it. The paint reflects everything. I took those shots at my lake house and the clouds have been bad the last few days. I have started to post it other places. The car is in unreal condition and I refuse to “give this one away” Ill just keep it and wait for them to climb to $100k

I'm surprised the auction ended as low as it did on your car. I think it's a combination of the time of the year and some uncertainty about the economy.

I searched for a LONG time for a super clean 996T then went through it making sure it had all the maintenance it needed. Car is in unreal condition for it's age.

Silver 02 with 8,000 more miles in worse condition sold for $72,500.
$80k ask seems a little hair robust I think, but best of luck with the sale, it's definitely worth a 7 handle.

This 1 is interesting to me.
NOT knocking a TIP, but tippy + 78K miles and already in the $65+. Then again, RUF adds $$$$

996 is finally aging into that realm where anything under 90K miles is “low!” & anything under 50K is “museum!!”

No one would even notice a 78K odometer on a 964 Turbo, the only question would be six or seven figures depending on color

Actually you should have no respect for @1FlossedM3 . I reached out to him, we were about to make a deal and as he learned I’m outside U.S. he banned me, without a word. Wonder how he’d reacted if I won it on BaT, I guess would be another time waster.

To get the record straight the above poster contacted me about the vehicle. He is in a different country, and I have been scammed before on a previous transaction and I am not comfortable dealing with out of country buyers on vehicles when moneys are involved.

He also has attempted to contact me on numerous venues and is harassing me at this point.

So my feedbacks worked, as I finally get the answer and the reason. When inexplicably and unfairly treated, there is your reaction.
If you would not just ban me without explanation, you would learn that have a US Dealership, if you are scared for the reasons above mentioned. Your Ride would be sold by now... oh well.
