I guess it's also probably a very small sample? How many sales have you been looking at

The 10 or so dots on the far right of the chart are from the past month. I am not seeing a decline in prices for that period.

Collector car prices mostly rise in a staircase fashion. Take a set up then plateau, take a set up, plateau, repeat, repeat, repeat.

There is always a range of prices depending on options, condition, location, and of course season, and it could be you just saw either a few unusually good deals or cars that were dogs...

But to answer your question, NO, I am not seeing any general downward trend in 996 prices. In fact very much the opposite.

Clean low mileage no stories 6 speed turbos will continue to go up in value as there are far few examples like this.

Yes, and eventually the “clean” “low mileage” and “no stories” descriptors will give way to: “mechanically sound”

...and 'low mileage' will mean something else as well... eg: a 993 with less than 75K miles is considered a find.

Default I rest my case

This is the best time to buy. This car is beautiful and look at the price. It would have been 80k a few months ago https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...911-turbo-157/

My buddies car. I was honestly quite surprised it didn't get more love.

This is my car, BAT's set reserve that THEY PICK wasn't even close to the number the auction hit. ($75K+) Car will be listed on public sites for $79,900 reach out if you have interest.

I searched for a LONG time for a super clean 996T then went through it making sure it had all the maintenance it needed. Car is in unreal condition for it's age.

Silver 02 with 8,000 more miles in worse condition sold for $72,500.

I have no idea what your point is?

I posted a chart with 996TT sales from the last month and prices remain high.

I posted comparable sales of this latest car sale you posted and the price is in line with or higher than cars that have sold over the past nine months.

So are you in the market to buy a 996TT?

These are MY2001 cars. They have always been a little cheaper than the newer model years. You have to compare like for like as I did with the listings I posted. All 2001 low mileage cars.

You might have done better with a no reserve auction. Reserves are off putting to some buyers.
