The Prestige Thread - Finest 996TT Market Finds

there are no "stories" with a 21k mile car looks like that. at $50k U.S. it is a "steal".
incredible to see these kinds of deals - as the de-industrialization and balkanization of the United States continues, unabated.

Absolutely SCREAMING deal on an '02 996TT X50 w/ 21k miles in FL, posted on Autotrader today.

The seller clear doesn't keep up with the market, because this one is no different than the Arctic Silver on Graphite car that sold for $75k on BAT last week. Absolute steal of a price that makes me consider selling my newly acquired cab.
I'm in love with those Fikse FM10 wheels....*drool*

It very well might be a steal, or there may be stories. How do you know what it looks like inside? how do you know the tranny isn't shot? How do you know the guy didn't shift 3rd to 2nd instead of 3rd to 4th one day when he was flooring it ? There can be several things deeply wrong on a 21k mile car that looks pretty in a picture.

You have no idea what the car looks like in person or what it may need cosmetically, mechanically. It's still a 20 year old car. People need to stop looking at mileage and start looking at age also, as stuff will def need replacement on an old car w/ low miles. A steal would be $30k. This looks like a decent deal pending no issues.

that car may be a steal but i'd never buy from a guy who acts like that. i can certainly appreciate him not wanting to deal with any BS, but typically people who act like that are trying to hide something

I dunno. In today's internet age, selling has become a chore. My car is for sale. My car needs nothing, and has probably 70K in receipts and records and shows well. I've been ghosted by several people, had offers made and then the people just disappeared, lol. It can wear on you a little bit. The days of having to pick up the phone and talk to one another is lost now with the ability to hide behind a screen.

Since sharing the ad, the guy seems to have changed his description. He sure does sounds like a real peach....Still, the price and mileage is hard to pass up, if you’re in the market....as long as you can endure the seller’s personality

You're buying the car, not a relationship with the seller.

i just feel like his attitude could indicate he doesnt want to answer questions about the less than ideal stuff on the car.
who knows, i'm just speculating!

I got wind of a local 2004 convertible 6-speed with minimal options besides a 'large carbon' package. 59K miles, but 'like new' condition. A friend saw it and was blown away by how flawless it is. Anyone interested in a Seal Gray/black turbo? It's in the LA area. Low $50s. Not advertised...
