It looks like a fair price. This car has an interior code of natural grey #03 searching VIN analytics. The ad states black interior. I am not sure if it is the lighting in the photos or is that what natural grey looks like? Has the interior been changed? I just can't tell.

Yes, natural grey looks almost black.

As does Metropol blue...

It's kind of funny the Porsche offered *three* different interiors all almost indistinguishable from black, which all look great (Black, Natural Grey, Metropol Blue) and then a host of other colors that are either pretty bad or truly terrible... ( On my terrible list, Nephrite Green, Boxster Red, Savanah Beige)

The ad also lists the exterior color as silver. It’s clearly not silver. VIN lookup says seal gray. You would think if you’re trying to sell a car for $50k, you would get the exterior color right.

I am pretty sure the turbo tach script showed up earlier than 2004.

My '03 does not have the Turbo tach script. I wonder if it was an option?

Don't think it was option, but maybe.

Porsche usually publicizes that a certain model year will receive a particular upgrade but in practice they tend to phase in upgrades earlier, when they run out of stock of the previous spec. So it is difficult to say exactly when the tach script was brought online.

It is interesting as to why I cannot find another 2003 Turbo with the script on the tach dial. That particular car was made in July of 03.
Definitely easy to find the script on the 04 model year.
Should it be called cars and questions and not cars and coffee.

Can you post a picture of your tach?

The tach of discussion is the one just sold on BAT. The pic is on Carlos's post.

July of 2003 is very late build date for a MY 2003 car. It fits my conclusion that they ran out of the non-script MY 2003 tachs and started installing the 2004 scripted version.

I have seen similar early implementations on nearly every generation of 911. The prime example is the MY 2002 chassis stiffening. The full stiffening package was added to all cars built after 1/2/2001 so many MY 2001 cars have the stiffening. I have also seen a MY 2001 car with a glove compartment.

VW does the same thing, putting next year's parts on some cars. Sometimes they even switch back having found a few old parts stashed away somewhere.

My '03 is a 9/2002 build date, so fairly early in the model year. I do like the Turbo script on the tach face.
