The lack of sport seats may be a positive for some people. It would be for me if I were in the market fora 996 Turbo.

I bought my stock 996TT in February for $63,500 with 17,800 miles on it, it now has 19k miles. Hopefully it will go up in value over the next few years. These are great cars that don't get much respect.

Would have to be mid-50s sans exhaust. But that's only if I can make a deal on the prospective machine.

I don't have sport seats and while I'm not happy with them I also don't find the 996 sport seats comfortable where they pinch your shoulders in. The 997 sport seats are leagues better. But yeah anyway I still see sport seats as being more desirable from a market stand point. It's not always about it actually being better. I think Aerokit cars are far uglier but they seem to do well because they're more rare.

It depends on how many people think the way we do about the sport seats.

I agree with you regarding the Aerokit looks.

You're not the only one. While they look great, esp. with painted backs, I personally found them not as comfortable as my std. seats (non-supple) for my 6' even 175lb frame. My buddy had a pair of very nice all black sport seats that I could have bought on the cheap, but I passed...and my back thanks me every time I drive my car.

I have sport seats and it's taken me quite a while to get used to them. For me, it's that the headrest is more angled back - to make space for a helmet I think. But they were a must-have when I was buying the car - for resale. I also made sure I bought an X50 car for the same reason.

You made the correct choices.

We will see about the Aero effect soon. My low mileage 03 X50 Aero with sport seats and sport technos is in the queue at BAT....

Lol.

Other than the typical slave cylinder failure and your battery dying have you had any other issues with your Turbo?

The 996 TTS currently on BAT lists an Option code 709 - Internal Production Code. Anyone know what that is?

Three low mileage 996 Turbos appear to have just arrived at RFMC:

I am constantly amazed by how many sub-20k mile 996 Turbos there are out there.
