Thanks for the advice. The sale was bittersweet but the time was up for us and it is going to a good new owner.
Leaning toward a 2013-2015 S8 at the moment....Good buys right now and I can tuck some $ away for a rainy day.

Looks as if proceeds go to charity. Does that mean you can write off the price as a deductible?

If I am remembering my Federal tax law correctly you are only allowed to deduct a percentage of amount paid over what the retail value of the car would be. I think.

Super low mileage, bold color and nicely optioned. Guesses?

^^^Beautiful example, but I always feel a bit sad when I see a car like this essentially never driven as intended.

It seems the 996t market is getting hotter all the time. I suspect it could hit 75- 80k. The collector car market seems to be doing strange upward things lately so I would not be surprised to see it go higher.
I really do wonder how does this happen though, that a car like this only seems to get driven too and from service centres. 336 miles per year is just bizarre.
I just put a years mileage on mine the last 3 days simply bombing around and going no where specific. Just trying to not kill myself or anyone else while enjoying the car to find out where my fear thresh hold limits are. Clearly these cars are way braver than me!

There was a thread here recently that asked how many miles/year owners put on their 996 Turbo. The majority (66%) put less than 5000 miles/year on their Turbo, and 12% put less than 1000 miles/year on their Turbo.
I bought my 996 Turbo new and the dealer did not ask me how many miles/year I intended to put on the car before deciding whether or not to sell it to me.

I'm not dissing the owner(s) of this or any other car on this planet, I just find it very sad that any car of this vintage can sit around the garage and look pretty.

I think it's great to see a car with such low mileage and in such pristine condition. Someone not concerned with the "investment" side of a car like this can have what is essentially a brand new 996 Turbo to drive and put as many miles as they desire on it.
