I agree, it seems like it wouldn't be a big deal but to have the wheels in stock silver finish would probably help the sale of the car. Personally, I don't think the gold is that bad but I likely would have skipped over this car back when I was searching because I wanted bone stock. That would be a shame because it looks like a nice car. Fingers crossed for the seller, hopefully he will do well
The 2001 lapis blue car was for sale about 6 months ago by Polar Porsche for $47,996. Here is the link to the old ad: http://euromotivecars.com/12038/2001-Porsche-911-Turbo
If I was the buyer, I would have kept the wheels silver as shown in some of the Polar photos.

Those past ads, especially the one at $48k, arent doing the seller any favors, imho.

Is anyone else following, and surprised at how non-chalant the seller is about some significant discepancies in the listing description and the actual car? Or maybe more surprising, how little other commenters or prospective buyers seem to care? I mean, buying a $40k-ish car with a tune and other mods on it and having no idea what they are?
Don't know why I'm so concerned/preoccupied with that auction, and on BaT I have tried to only provide information or ask relevant questions and not editorialize, but shopping the seller is as important as the car, and that guy was not forthright in the listing, and hasn't followed up with helpful info. The mileage is also strange (not in a manipulated the odo kind of way, but that the mileage in the pic differs from the mileage in the listing differs from sellers comment that he's only driven it 200 miles in 6 months).
The fact is it could and may well be a great car as is, but that kind of subtle manipulation of information really puts me off. Maybe bidders just won't care. Certainly if you've looked for yourself or had a ppi done you could disregard his information and make your choice on your own info, but I doubt many will.

I'd be more curious as to why the owner before this sold it after 16 days.
And now this one is selling after 6 months. 200 instead of 2000 I'd put down to a typo, but the guy dumping it in a different state after a couple of weeks is a red flag to me.

As for the goldish yellow wheels being a red flag I'm assuming it's an auburn tribute? I think it's ugly, but there are good quality cars out there with polarzing aesthetics. That blue is delicious in any event.
I guess bidding and commenting has gone a bit cold (not my intention, just love the way the crowd susses stuff out on BaT and wanted to contribute), but it also isn't uncommon to see a flurry in the closing hours.
I sold on BaT once (a '55 International pickup), really fun experience if you're engaged and fairly represent the product.

A number of sequential owners that own the car for a short period of time raises questions right? It suggests that the car has some sort of issue that may be hard to initially discover and is expensive to repair.

EDIT: I just went back through and read all the comments. This seller is really hurting the car's value. All of the inconsistencies as listed above. Plus, he doesn't even remember what tires the car has?
