Agree! If the car would come with the stock parts nicely wrapped up that would be another option.

Throughout the years ive modded many cars but i never get rid of or permanently modify original parts. Thats just me though

Don't think so!

Keeping the original parts, putting them back into the car when you sell it and selling the aftermarket parts separately usually creates more revenue than just selling the modded car (obviously only works when the changes are (more or less) easily reversible)...

Totally agree. Aftermarket wheels and exhaust are easily put back to stock and can be sold for 40-50 cents on the dollar.

a somewhat rhetorical question..

but why would someone order, let alone purchase, that car new in 01?

to look at it awhile, never drive it, and then sell it at for 40-60% discount lol

Amazing what detective work you can do with Google. In just 5 seconds, I found this guys post on a Benz forum and Pelican Parts. Originally posted back in September of 2016 for only $50K. Wonder why all of a sudden a $6K increase. Someone flipping it?

Nice work inspector! His original price was feasible, would have a hard time with 56 for a non-X50 though. Looks extremely well maintained.

Anyone having an idea why this one's not selling?

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...9084/overview/

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/232220147414?...rue&rmvSB=true

The carfax isn't the cleanest, but the price is quite low as well, right?

Lower demand I'd guess. Most buyers are looking for coupes.

An accident and possible flood damage.

So you can't trust the "minor" description of the accident?

How would you find out if a car was flood damaged?

Given the age of the car at the time of the flooding (< 1 yr), I'd think that the car would be totalled?!

I've seen some flooded cars and all of them were totalled (no matter how high the water got - as long as it's in the car, the car's a wreck)...
