My car is not a garage queen and I have other cars that get used less and they are not garage queens either. I really think because of my upbringing that I just do not think along the lines as most here. The idea that a car with low miles/use cant be as well kept as a daily driver is what I found asinine. I have cars with high miles and while nice I still realize they are well used and worth comparatively little.
rmc - Garage queen wasn't meant as a derogatory term and wasn't directed at you. I would expect a "garage queen" to be in excellent condition as compared to a daily driver.
My office sits on top of an entire museum full of cars, most of which ARE garage queens and they are in beautiful condition.
If you are saying that you don't drive your car that much, that's your business. It's your car. I think a 996TT should be driven regularly rather than just sit around, but it's your prerogative to do with it what you want. There's no right or wrong with that.
Actually, on the topic we've been discussing the last couple of pages, I think I agree with almost everything you've said.

randy huh wha? whatever, you know both what YOU meant!? and you generally know your stuff. good enough for ME! but man, you can form a sentence! i'll give ya that! but i drink too! or perhaps you're a teetotaler! which could also explain the foregoing too?! LOL )
That looks like an absolute smoking deal. Where was this when I was looking? I'm pretty sure it will be gone by the end of this week, esp considering how open the seller seems to be.
When cars like this comes up, you pretty much have to jump on it or it will be gone.
FWIW I tried running a VIN build sheet report from the supplied VIN# on cars.com, and it came back not found. Can anyone confirm this?
Well if it ain't obvious already, this car is sold. Just talked to the seller. Hopefully someone on the forums picked it up and we can hear all about it.
$37,500. Color is, well, unique. If you wanna stand out from the crowd, this one would pretty much do it. Looks like a wrap over a silver car based on door jamb pic. 71,000 miles, tippy, aluma-look gauges.
Looks like a clean 01 Turbo on paper. Has some type of exhaust and upgraded clutch. Interior looks nice with CF and sports seats with minimum wear overall For 73k. By looking at the carfax (on dealer site) the cAr has had a decent amount of owners, but looks to have had an extended warranty until the last few years. If I was in Cali I'd check it out, being in Va it's a little difficult.
Interested to hear thoughts on this one. Looking to add one of these to the stable, perhaps dumping my 957 GTS pepper in the process. Lmk if you see any others worth considering
Looks much better than most of the discount buys, I would question maintenance records- coolant reservoir looks old as does air filter, calipers are slightly discolored. Cant really tell much by photos and needs to be seen in person. If it checks out price is right but I would up the ante and look for a lower mile car with good records.
