Finally woke the car up from its winter slumber. What a great drive.

I am so jealous. I think mine will need to stay tucked away for at least another two weeks.

Adapted the BMW feet from my wife's 325i to mount the rack on the Turbo.

Taking the TT to have a PSS10 upgrade with Tarret front top strut mounts installed. Tired of her handling like a boat. :-)

LOL, I prefer to think of the handling as more yacht like. Yachts are classier and you can wear an ascot, blazer and captain's hat.

Keep us posted. I was looking to do the same with PSS10's or KW v3's.

If you track your car do not bother with the PSS's10. IMHO the KW V3's with a higher spring rate are great for the track for under $4K.

I washed my 996 Guards Red Turbo and afterwards I proceeded to run the "clay" over it's paint to remove all impurities in it. Next time (in a day or two) will be glazing it's surface before ultimately waxing and turning it into the "chick-magnet" (as my 10 year-old nephew calls it) that it is!

Picked up my car late today. Indy installed higher rate front springs, along with corner balance and alignment.

Got my car back with (59,200 miles):
a) New engine mounts
b) 60K service done (filters, plugs, fluids, some belts)
c) New tranny fluid (redline)
d) TJW Mod for Exhaust.

I was without my car for a week and boy was it a treat to take it on a 60 mile loop this afternoon. When I pulled back into San Francisco, I lowered the top so that I could hear the new sound with the TJW mod. Nice. Very low and throaty in first and second, but never got a chance to RIP it in 2nd or 3rd. Too many cops and just plain too many cars for me to safely do so.

I continued to clean my car this weekend as I can't get it out too far. The snow blocking me is rock solid. Removed wheels and cleaned the inside of the wheels. Cleaned up all the left over wheel weight residue and brake dust caked etched into the wheel barrels. I also treated the ac vents which gave them a nice fresh scent.

So I drove the Turbo to Culver City to see John and Dave at Wheel Enhancements. I had them install some HRE C90's. 8.5x18 ET47 and 12x18 ET43 with new PS2's in 235/40 and 315/30 18's. Car looks like I had originally envisioned it when I bought it. NO rubbing or problems at all. Sorry for the crappy iphone shots. Better ones to .come
