Finally made it to the track after a two year break and running RWD w/ 335 Hoosiers on the back for the first time. It was a SCCA test day at PIR and got to play with the fast cars. Passed technical inspection for racing and interesting to see them drill a hole in the cage and put a number on it.

Quick video on Instagram that my friend took:

I also want to thank Powdrhound for the help as well

Mine has the 2.5” Kline 100cel- finishing build soon, but suspect this will be a good dual purpose pipe. Comes with bypass should I need more sound. Previous car I went through 5x systems and liked the Miltec for power and quiet and the Speedtech 3.0 for GT3 like sound.

Pulled the front bumper off to replace the broken drivers side plastic retainer bracket.

Friday I'll do an oil change and install the 997 GT3 short shifter sitting on my workbench.

I learned how to remove, and replace a headlight.

Also drove it, got a new belt and a new power steering pulley.

997 GT3 Shifter, New Pads on all four corners, Brake Flush.

What a difference between this new shifter and the aftermarket notchy 996 aftermarket short shifter that was there before.. Smooth as silk.

Interesting...I have a $60 ebay short shifter that is 1000x better than the factory 996tt shifter IMO. I assume you had something similar. So the 997gt3 short shifter is that much better? If that's the case I'll try to hunt one down.

Haven't done it yet, but on the plan for today is swapping in new spoiler hydraulics. Anyone in the area who wants to see what's involved is welcome to watch...

Finally got my car in the new garage and changed out the plugs, coils and cam solenoid brackets. 4 out of 6 coils were cracked, plugs pretty baked. Runs much better now.
