What did you do to your 996TT today?

Burning Brakes
Well the car I sold had a tune and the new buyer didn't want the Cobb, so I uninstalled on the outgoing car & even though the prior car passed smog, I waited to pass before I flashed.
One other thing I did today - swapped key guts to the far-more-attractive 911 design key housing.

Yeah, I don't remember where I found out about these things... they just aren't promoted widely. It's a Porsche part specifically for retrofitting the 996 key. Part #00004400083 - you can watch eBay (where I got mine) or check Suncoast, Sunset, etc.

lifter failed. oil pump destroyed scavenger pump destroyed 2 valves bent 2 valve seats bent cylinders needed slight hone and micropolish the crank. rod and crank bearings ruined. so a 27$ part new with 1000 miles on it at only 19 psi failed and caused about 3000$ in damage. had it not been for my engine builder helping me to rebuild it the cost would have been 3 times that amount
last pic is what i found in the oil filter.
