Not surprising

Agree people will have their opinions and little will change most. I had a very nice 928 and decided to clean the Cosmo line off= ended up wishing I had left it alone.

I personally wouldn't remove the Cosmoline on my 996 Turbo even if someone else offered to pay to have it done.

And I live in Atlanta.

Stayed nice and clean for a while but soon had a lot of oxidizing and some spots looked pitted. I always washed the underneath of car and never drove in rain or snow. The cosmoline doesn't hurt anything so why remove it and in my opinion protects. I could see that maybe it may attract salt as its slightly tacky but I never drive any of my cars when there's salt on the road. As I said earlier people here have opinions that will never change so they can do what they like.

1000km after fitting PSS9/PSS10 had a re-alignment done. With recommended ride height still cannot get to recommend camber on the rears, however the adjustment at the front has added a lot sto sharpness and stability.

i found all my xmas lites LIT UP! cruise control ON ( wouldn't go off! ) bright red CEL on dash saying ""failure" ( not even the drive to workshop! ) LOW amp gauge reading, temp gauge and oil pressure gauge all in RED! and stuck! wouldn't move, no matter what i did. ( though coolant was a qt low?! )..

trickle charged the battery overnight, and hard reset the battery ( no codes present pending or stored! WTF!?! ) and started the car right up and all dash lights were GONE and returned to full operability!

reset the e-gas and reset the windows and clock and off i went.

low batteries are responsible for all manner of high strangeness in this car!

Wow all this from a low battery. I'll have to remember that one and not to panic if it happens to me.

i know, right? obviously, i'll keep an eye on EVERYthing moving forward as i've never seen anything this extreme happen before, but i have experienced all manner of strangeness directly linked to a low battery. for now though just adding this to the "list" lol.

congrats on getting your new suspension bits! ( again lol )

did i give the impression i wasn't initially panicked!?! not so lol

almost dialed a flatbed til my bud said just reset and check for codes! no, i was totally in panic mode. theres too many lights and the RED FAILURE ENGINE pictograph on the dash is far more grave looking and different from the "usual" YELLOW "drive to workshop".

that red light alone is enough to induce paroxysms of fear

Really, the Battery Maintainer should be standard equipment with these cars.

agree 100% it took me about 6 months of having this car to realize the importance of regularly maintaining it with a cig lighter trickler. never had a voltage hog like this, probably never will!

been a few days now and it appears thats all it "was" ..was a low battery.

thats the funny part. i didn't "do:" anything at all lol.

scheduled my wheel refinisher to try and paint match the scrapes from my tire shop who after going there for years!.. have chosen to have the bureau of automotive repairs mediate my now "claim" for damages against them for the damage they did, rather han simply apologizing and having the wheel repaired.

what is wrong with the world today!? when folks can't just "own" their mistakes and do the "right" thing!? for a regular customer. sheesh.

you don't F**K with the CA BAR! they'll get me sorted out.

How old is the battery and do you drive your car regularly, I get the impression that you do, is your car charging properly?

That's very poor form from your tire shop, the world is changing in many ways and definitely not what it used to be.
