Geoffrey per our conversation, the outcome would have been different is you had a little more boost on the top end.

Jean, the Germans won't give out compressor maps..

And if you do your research the Brits don't either..

Jean, I don't have anything I'm willing to give out.

Thanks Kevin, I thought I knew that but was just wondering if Geoffrey had better info.

I am not sure if you mean that you have them but you don't wish to share them or you don't have them. Just to clarify, I am not looking for them, I do have the Audi K26 compressor maps that most people have too.

What is your point of view of why the compressor efficency is falling off beyond 1.2-1.3 Bar? K26 should be able to flow beyond those levels.

By 4750 they were falling off, at 6000rpm they were down to 1bar and down to .9bar at 8000rpm. I think that if they were able to stay on their efficency island of the compressor map, I'd see another 50-70hp with reduced intake air temps.
Using Kevin's K24/26s, I never had an issue losing boost up through Redline / 6800 RPM (running about 1.35-1.4 BAR).

The compressor cannot keep up with the airflow requirements of the engine, especially running it to 8000rpm. I was hoping the turbos would maintain boost to 7000rpm, but expected them to fall off towards 8000rpm. They just don't flow enough air, the wastegates are completely closed, I checked while running on the dyno.

Bob, This was not a stock internal 996tt engine, but rather a 996 Race engine modified for turbos so the airflow comparison will be much different than the small port, small valve, large combustion chamber, small camshaft, small header found in the stock 996tt engine.

Just wanted to show some pics of the new hardware that is filtering in for the engine build...Here is my new GT3RS crank...with the correct engine upgrades this will spin to 9K.... Also, Kevin has been working hard with the head R+D and has finalized the details of the head and has produced some prelim flow numbers. He tested our revalved head against the Porsche RSR head and so far we are outflowing Porsche's best...
Exhaust Flow CFM
TT Head...............244
RSR Head.. ...........260
UMW Head............302
These heads are going to have custom made Titanium intake valves and Inconel exhaust valves rated for 2100degrees F. He has put into production an order for 250 valves just to get started...The intake numbers are excellent as well. I think these heads with these flow numbers and hardware will make a potent and efficient setup. All in all, the project is progressing well....More later...Kevin

Here are some pics of the cases that just came back....Kevin is finishing up some oiling mods and some final detail work. The rotating assembly is being balanced from front crank pulley to the pressure plate and everything in between...individually clearanced Porsche Motorsports bearing to specific bearing journals.... details..details.. Bill, Kevin has really put his heart into these cases...He is probably still working on them now getting them ready to ship...The level of detail is impressive....and the details matter! Kevin
