Question Any experiences out there with the 9ff tuner?

Curious to know if there are any Porsche owners in the USA that have dealt with the tuner 9ff?

If so, what products were purchased, and are you happy with them.

Thanks

I completely agree, stay away with them! Best move you will make is by avoiding these people.

If you look at this thread from funcars

<a href="http://www.funcarsonline.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=64548&page=&view=&sb=5&o=" target="_blank">http://www.funcarsonline.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=64548&page=&view=&sb=5&o=</a>

you will see alot of discussion about 9ff and the discouragement of working with this company. It was a new product people were excited, but as I found out with many others it was just a headache, a regret, and a complete waste of time.

cjv you are right, very very dark clouds will be appearing on the horizon, especially on their USA President, . Please stay away from them, as it will only lead you to larger problems.

I agree with you cjv, it was sick and sad. I talked to him first hand and have heard of other terrible stories regarding this man, Mr. , who use to be a Jaguar tuner a few years back, disappeared from the scene and tried Porsche and is pulling the same stuff, but has placed himself in very dangerous territory. I can verify his case as well as others with 9ff and as advice, stay away from these people as they will not be in business much longer. My attorney has done extensive research upon this case for me and they are violating lots of regulations. Cjv if you want pm me and we talk about this outside the board.

Jan Fatthauer and Federic Ballot are the two I believe who started the company, hence the "f" and "f" in 9ff. They both came from RUF and started this company a little while ago. When working with them, Mr. Ballot would always work with Jan and say that he was contacting him on a daily basis numerous times. That Mr. Fatthauer knows of Mr. Ballot's poor business tactics is another story, which I would be interested in also.

Months ago I had some initial contact with the 9ff representative that you guys are speaking of. This was back in the time that I was researching the aerodynamic bodypart market. Because of this, my interest has been picqued in this matter. This board is made up of many members with one thing in common, the love of Porsches. I have found most of these members are very helpful and friendly people. I think if there is anything amiss, it should be shared so that others have the opportunity to respond and learn. I am not advocating the spread of rumors, just facts.

Red face

I posted this thread to see how many others have been involved with this company. Since there aren't very many people speaking up, it appears that everyone here must be smarter than me when it comes to smelling a bad situation. I do not want to go into too much detail, but in a nutshell, I was promised something to be completed in 2 weeks, it was never delivered, and after a number of attempts to take delivery, I decided after approimately 10 weeks to pull the car due to the time involved and poor preformance. There are many other aspects involved, and I have tried many times to come to terms with this company, and all they have offered me is to talk to their attorney. Trust me this will happen.

The something was a motor kit producing minimum 587fwhp on 91-octane pump gas, a new front brake system, wheels, sports suspension system, all installation included.

I am out a substantial amount of money, and I am still paying to get my car back to functional use, in addition to other fees.

A link to the 9ff products removed from my car.

John, I am really sorry you had to go through all this and you hate to see this happen to anyone, especially a great guy like John who I have gotten to know due to this misfortune. But at least this is a warning for everyone else here to stay away from them. Anyways, I wish the best to you in your case and I'm always here if you need anything. Take care buddy.
