I get what you are saying, but don't agree on "never buy color"
There are some colors that aren't even on my RADAR for consideration.
I guess it's all a matter of degree.

Cheers

All is well - I finally found a 6GT3! It was in San Diego but it all worked out and it's in PA now.

Default Blue GT3

Guys — Appreciate all the banter around this one…it’s a shame (to me) some of the afternarket goodies have been pilfered along the way…looks like current dealer asking price is now below $110k…if only I had more room; love the color!

I bought cheap and then bought color. I was happy both times.

The old adage was: "I'd rather be lucky than good"
You are both lucky and good; a rare gift.

My perspective is from someone who after decades in the hobby dealing mainly with older Porsches knows you never buy a car for the color unless it is 100%.
Buy the body first and the engine second.
Engines are cheap, bodies are not. If you've never had the (dis)pleasure of restoring a rusty or clapped out car you may not understand. I know from experience what
bodywork costs and I know what a "built" engine costs. The two are never really close.

Continued luck to you.

definitely true! I've never had that "pleasure" but I have a friend who did, and it was NOT fun. The longhood longitudinals!!!! At least our beloved gt3's fall within the "galvanized body" era of car production!

Wrapped cars always have low bids. Everyone assumes the wrap is covering up bad paint.
