I spoke to the owner of the black car that went RNM @$80k -- he informed me, it is not a wrap, rather a colored PPF.
The car has seen track time, and was peppered a bit up front and there's an issue at the back rear quarter (my guess is track debris came up into the metal and left a mark).

Surprising the seller didn't bother addressing some little things. Alignment, bumper plug, etc... "Needs and alignment" and "$26k CAD rear end repair" begs the question, can it align?

I once had a deposit on one that spent a few months at reputable shops, and never could be aligned. I caught it while on a test drive, the seller (small dealer) said he would align, and then we would finalize -- that never happened.
I then found out the car had been hit near the door and the seller was attempting to cover it up...
We're not talking about a $10,000 car here...In my opinion, there is an appropriate way to present these cars to the market, if not, it's usually not worth it to take a chance on it. Not saying the car is a bad car, it's just a risk with these cars, especially with accident history.

I've heard of cars "repaired off the books" (no insurance claim). If the owner has deep pockets and wants to maintain a clean CarFax that's how it's done. I once saw a 964 Turbo (965) with the entire front clip replaced after an accident (at a DE event) where the new owner bought it at the track from the person who crashed it. The car was repaired out of pocket and there were no signs once completed and CarFax remained clear. Regret not getting the VIN because it's still out here somewhere.
FWIW, a friend who attends a lot of DE and track events reported a spate of wrecks at a relatively recent PCA sponsored event. Some were described as pretty hard hits and why a track car may be seen in a "different light".
