Like any auction due diligence is the buyers responsibility. All auction house language is written like this and you sign off or agree to it before bidding. All auction houses, including BAT, are held harmless.
I give a thumbs up for the BAT format where it takes a week or more to finish an auction. If you are in the hunt there is time to ask questions and clear the air. In the case of this car people actually went to look it over.
BAT have also proven the ability to make snap judgments if there is a fox in the chicken house, so to speak. The Carfax issue was cleared quickly.
When you buy at Gooding, RM, Mecum, BJ etc., you own what you won. There are no money back guarantees.

There is the old case of a '64 Corvette sold as a '67 at a Mecum Auction. It went to court and the plaintiff lost.

Yes. Same car. Same seller which is me.
The higher ups at our host made me open a vendor account which is why i have 2 defferent user names on here. Why? Because they can. Not because i wanted to.
Jmann2380, i’d appreciate you doing your research and speak from knowledge instead of making unfounded comments or at least let me respond before stating your (incorrect) opinion. Thanks

I think he was just trying to say that he was not the seller.

I wish I was in a position to buy, that kind of car is exactly what I want. A car that looks like a clean driver that was used how I'll use it and priced well.

I agree. I have sooooo much more fun with a car that already has a bit of history and use. I just don't never enjoyed my garage queens as much.

Well, sounds like I'll be picking up a sparsly optioned 2004. 55k miles, completely stock, has all the big maintenance done (lines, lsd, clutch, etc) for $67k. Two owner car but the last owner has owned it since 900 miles. 100ish range 1s and zero range 2s. No accident history. Seem like a decent deal?

Was thinking about bidding on the track car (bat). But am slightly unsure about maintenance. Found a video of it on BBI’s YouTube. Seems to have been converted to a 4.0 roughly 10 years ago, would this mean the engine is due for a rebuild, this is on the assumption of it being treated like a cup car.

make sure to get a PPI from a reputable, it’s worth the cost. Clean title != no accidents. Also make sure u can go through previous maintenance.
