Comments are getting interesting on the BAT car… I was wondering how long it would be before a seller called out the peanut gallery. May hurt them in the end, but I would be very frustrated with the comments from non bidders if I was selling a car.

Looking into my crystal ball, gonna call RNM on that silver car. I have never purchased a car on BaT, but have bid on several. In retrospect, bidding on a car I have not seen in person and not having a recent PPI available to look at was pretty stupid on my part. I feel like I dodged a bullet by not buying any of those cars. I know there's other considerations and I'm not projecting on anyone else who might have done that. Just reflecting on my own situation. As far as the silver car goes, the apparent reluctance by the seller to allow a ppi is troubling.

I've followed a few people on auctions that ask for all kinds of crazy stuff, and it was interesting that the guys making requests almost never bid. And if the seller senses that and refuses to simply comply, these guys in the peanut gallery get their panties in a bunch.

Having sold a car on BaT, you wouldn't believe the quantity of material that arrives in your inbox outside of the BaT comments. Absolutely insane questions/etc. I think I would still use BaT again to sell, but you WORK for that extra money, and if you don't know the context in which you are selling (feed the peanut gallery all the bull**** they pretend to care about), you will get destroyed.

It will probably go RNM and BAT will start to lower reserves on the 996 GT3 cars.

very few people do compression / leakdown tests as part of selling process.
I've never asked for one on a Pcar.
HEMI Superbee = yes.

I'm sure, I had my hopes all up in the high $100s and when my auction didn't even come close, I am just going to hang on to it and see.

I’ll probably keep this one forever. Not as modified and beastly as the one I sold - largely original except for factory roll cage, recaro seats and fiske wheels - I need to find a stock set to replace them

Nice! there is just something "charismatic" about these cars. Its like a classic 911 without all the downsides! Lets see some pics! I love the idea of a light flood type of car. They can be fixed to be perfect and if you are planning to hold for a long time, there is no real downside and the price of entry is good so you can enjoy guilt free!

Same for you @mchang !
