I recently got rotors from brake performance. They were different than I had purchased in the past - must have changed their manufacturer. There was confusion with my order - they sent two left rotors.

Yes I can hear all the jokes now about me having two left feet...ha ha.

The tech there said it didnt matter. I told them it did because I track the car. I got a call back later and they are sending me a right rotor to make it right.

I am uneasy about the spec change on the rotors so I bought a second set of ATE to keep waiting in the wings...more to come...

I'm going to retire my Brake Performance rotors after 20 track days and 10,000 miles. No complaints but I think I'll try ATE this time. Is PartsGeek the cheapest at $129 shipped?

FWIW I ran PFC fluid last weekend at Barber and perceived less fade than w/ SRF.

They have double the life of ATE et al.? We are mostly talking DEs here not racing.

After communicating w/ Rick Deman I decided to give his rotors a try. He said that, although they are Zimmerman blanks, they are motorsport metallurgy and not the standard Zimmermans. Got them in 3 days. FWIW they weigh 26.83 lbs.

^good to know
FWIW, Zimmerman stuff is top-notch regardless of 'Motorsport'...IMHO the best rotors out there are Zimmerman's...

Deman good choice I feel. FS new in Box Giro Discs- $900 or BO. I'm comfortable with Ricks rotors and don't want the Giro Discs.

My first set of brake performance rotors just lasted 8 hours of driving. YMMV, but another data point.

The Performance Friction brake fluid is great. Ran it in a D class 911 SC at Sebring last year for the enduro. No fade at all. Terrific pedal feel.

Wow, that's terrible! What type of degradation ended their life at 8 hours - excessive grooving, cracks, etc.?
