85. Please tell us more about the "IML failure" and fixing the window drop. There is so much to learn. Happy that you are enjoying your car.

Great to start the day with an insult from Gnat.

If it's any consolation, b3freak didn't make the list either! hahaha!

Actually, in all truthfulness, I had planned to add YOU gnat in addition to others like DTMiller, Tom, Hurdi, etc.!

Maybe call it the addendummies??!! hahahaha!

Sorry fat fingers, IMS Failure is what I meant. Well documented here. Also, the window on the doors is supposed to drop about 1/4" - 1/2" to allow clearance from the roof frame when closing. There are microswitches in the door that control this feature as well as the window regulator itself. In my case it was the window regulator. Works great now. I was able to manually push the window down so it would clear on closing and it would return to the fully closed position automatically but if I forgot, the window would slam against the roof frame and I was worried that it might break at some time causing more problems.

Well I found a local recommended installer for the "IMS Solution". Claims to be a permanent fix and the guy says he's done many and so far no issues. I'm gonna do it because I want this to be a long term purchase.

He quoted me a max of $2300.00 Seems fair to me based on what they do. They do the install but once in there they also replace some additional seals (he wasn't specific which) as well as a Mobil 1 oil change. Takes about 2 days for the job.

1120: Newbies are gullible and impressionable ... and, usually overeager to want to fit in with the RL elite. Some have self esteem issues and quickly go nuclear if you challenge their thinking or humiliate them on the forum. Some live to view another one of Cuda's eyebleach hotties. Most don't understand 5CH3NLL and never will and wonder why he points out that their textin' style jive doesn't live up to American English standards. Some try to pull the technical wool over Gnat's eyes with some of their Craigslist write-ups, but NEVER succeed. John Ireland usually directs them to take their car, bank account, and Vaseline to Porsche exclusive service centers because anything less than the best is worthless. Slakker wants to know if their car has the dual row bearings like his 1999 model, if not, they should cancel their RL account or set up an appointment with Flat 6. Hurdi usually gives them semantics that only make sense to him. DTMiller is sometimes thought to be the beer equivalent of DT40 oil. Sometimes they think Gonzo911 has something to do with Jim Hensen's Muppet RaceMania and that Woody has a "thang" for Buzz Lightyear. ok, i'll stop now.

Cut him some slack. Clearly, he meant to write "MILF failure."

Well bless your heart. That was a nice screed, but you still left out some of the more notable members (unless we want to grade this one in isolation, then you left out a lot!).

^ For those of you unfamiliar with regional linguistics in American english, "bless your heart" is southern standard American english for "go f**k yourself."

1121. If a sweet southern lady ever says, "well, bless your heart," what she means is "I hope this a$$clown dies in a fire after getting gangbanged by a horde of robots wielding glass-encrusted pneumatic dong-arms."

Because it wouldn't be AT ALL ladylike to say "dong-arms" in a genteel conversation.

Artist's rendering of dong-arm robot:
