What have you learned since joining Rennlist?
Since I joined RL, this is what I've learned so far:
1. IMS failure is real... and amplified in the minds of every 996 and 997.1 owner
2. Intermix is not a fancy drink served in the Porsche lounge.
3. The M96 engines love to make tickin' sounds like time bombs
4. The favorite color of the Porsche interior designer is Graphite Grey
5. The M96 seems to be quickly affected by the use of crack
6. AOS is not a '70s rock band that loves to overuse fog machines
7. Porsche designed the electric rear hood and frunk locking mechanisms to help improve the towing industry
8. The Becker radio company's favorite song is the "Sound of Silence"
9. Silver horn crest sightings are as rare as Sasquatch and they're as valuable as the hope diamond
10. The engineer that created the Porsche convertible top system was enthused by the principle of "Glass half full, glass half empty"; therefore, he created the midpoint breaking mechanism.
11. eGas is not a competitor to "Gas-X"
12. One indicator that the Porsche 911 is a male, is the fact that it loves to take a leak in public.... And give off very impressive noises from the rear.
13. Two guys in a Cabriolet are no different than two guys in a Miata
14. The Porsche designer that came up with the special edition Miami Dolphins Nephrite and Orange colored 996 was forced to watch every game in the last 15 losing seasons
15. Porsche immobilizer technology not only keeps the thieves from driving off, but also the owners and Porsche too.
16. Porsche discourages having backup Keyfobs. They say it's because they want to stay in touch with their owners.
17. A "roller" is not a chainsmoker or gambler
18. KrazyK is rated top DIY POS engineer and "loved" by everyone on RL
19. 5CHN3LL should have been a English Professor, radio relationship talkshow counselor (a.k.a Dr. Chanel Show) and/or synth player for DEVO
20. Kalash is a Russan that loves women, malt liquor (hehehe), dumplings, and going shirtless (most of the time.)
21. Slakker is a mod-maniac that believes the '99 model 996 is the ONLY 996.
22. KC Attorney loves the NA 996 peeps better than the TT 996 peeps even though we all know what he drives.
23. CUDA911 is a 21 year old stuck in the body of a 50 year old.
24. Groovilla has lived in the same house for most of his life and has owned more Porsches than Ferdinand himself.
25. Gonzo is a speed demon known to do 51 in a 40. Darn speed cameras!
26. Ahsai is the Porsche Gandhi
27. Martin is trying his best to show the polish love, but can't find the words.
28. Sneaky Pete is trying to find the Martin love, but won't ever since he eye'd his wife.
29. Alpine is the immobilizer/code expert. Wikileaks and the Russians have nothing on him. Hillary even asked for email help recently.
30. Jake Raby is a modern genius that knows how to correctly spell the word "DAWG"
I could go on and on, but what have YOU learned since joining RL?

As far as car forums go, 996 section of Rennlist is awesome. It is 90% messing around, with 10% being serious enough to address most of the DIY issues and help people.
I feel that Ocean's and Hang Over movies are a good representation of what would happen when critical mass of 996 Rennlist section gets together in real life.
