Believe me, I'm aware the only guarantee this guy made was that he would put the new transmission in.

Regardless, that doesn't change my opinion of him. For what it's worth I'm done with him. Once I have. My old parts at the new shop that's the last contact I'll have with him.

Even if turns out the transmission is locked up? You are jumping into conclusions way too fast. So far no one figured out what exactly happened yet. Let's wait and see what the actual problem is.

When you factor in how shady and unprofessional he has been towards me, the fact he took apart the entire rear end of my car, left my convertible top down for a month for no reason, pushed deadlines back over and over, never contacted me when he should have, etc etc... I'd say I have plenty of reason to be done with guy.

Also, I never mentioned it, but he started preaching to me about how the Bible is saying the end times are near and I should be prepping. LOL

I'm not making this up.

KK,

Ahhh I knew it... He's really a modern day Biblical prophet and that "end time" advice is prophetic code for ...

"Yo dam trannys are living in sin and doomed for destruction in fire and brimstone. You must purge yourself from the viles of this devil machine and... and sell it to me for $500!"

Do you know read the Bible KrazyK??!!! (((what?))) Say what again... say it!!!! DO YOU READ THE BIBLE???!!!!

“Ezekiel 25:17"

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Have to agree with KK, I read quite a bit on the tiptronic trannys and from what I gathered, they're bullet proof.

They still haven't gotten my old transmission from the other shop. Today he is going to hook it up to his Durametric to scan for codes and what not. He also noticed that the shifter feels very awkward so he's gonna get it on a lift and check the linkages.

Let me get this straight... You towed it to the *new* shop last Thursday and he is just now connecting the car to a Durametric and the best he can tell you is that the gear shift feels very awkward? Forgive my apprehension, but I hope for your sake, you're not repeating history with this new shop.

Cheers... and here's crossing my fingers... and toes too!

That doesn't seem out of line to me for a good indy. Normally, I call the shops that I work with and they give me a day to bring the car in - rarely do I get "same day" service. It's almost always within a week, but almost never "sure we're not busy at all and we can get it done today."

Good point! It's not like he made an appointment and dropped it off on the day they set. Just hoping he gets good service this time.

The new guy runs a shop by himself and doesn't work weekends. I've got a good feeling though.
