Yuck! Well, the good news is that these things last for a long time. With all the miles I've done over the last year I don't feel too bad about the tires.
I ordered Sumitomo HRZ IIIs from Tire Rack - $612 - not a bad deal at all. If I had been surprised during the inspection I know it would have cost me double.

Anyone have a spare rear (driver side) seat belt receptacle they wouldn't mind selling to me?
For some reason mine decided to stop latching this morning. I figured one of the track guys that has ripped out their rear belts might have a spare one they wouldn't mind parting with.... Ed probably has a box full.

Nice to see y'all Saturday on my way out of town to spend Memorial Day weekend in our nations capital. Great time with the best moment getting to spend some quiet time with my Dad at Arlington National Cemetery.

Hey guys, I just found this thread. I'm over in the Brier Creek area and may have to head in your direction one morning to meet up. I tend to stop in to the larger monthly meets in Brier Creek if I'm around since it's so close, but am always up for meeting new faces.
I'm amazed to see that while my home life (relocated, new job, bought house, got married, etc) has taken a lot of attention away from cars in the last few years, I can't believe that I just posted for the first time ever on Rennlist (joined 2.5 yrs ago). If you'd like to read that post (about my suspension saga) check it out here:

As way of a mini introduction, I have an '04 996TT X50 with 33k miles on it, and come from a background of Audi & VWs. My real baby having been an '02 Audi S4 Avant 2.7T with many upgrades. I've had it out at Lime Rock, VIR, and Road Atlanta. It's also had it's fun at the drag strip with a best 11.7@122mph. Bought it new and sold it in '09 with 191k miles. I had been putting about 40k/yr on that until I bought a used VW Golf 1.8T (which also got heavily modified) in '05 and then started splitting the miles between the two cars. As irony would have it, I ended up selling both cars to the same guy in Chicago, 9 months apart. He liked the S4 so much, he bought the Golf off me too (which had 203k when I sold it). I have no plans to modify the 911 any further. Right now, my daily driver is an Audi A3 2.0T, stock, and enjoying it like that for now - though I foresee a chip in the future somewhere. The wife drives a VW Tiguan 2.0T. Before that, she had a Jetta, and before my above cars, I had an Audi A4 1.8T. So, as you can see, we like to keep it in the VW/German family
Anyway, hope to meet some of you in person in the near future.
Regards,
Mark

Welcome Mark. NICE SY TT!
Drop by whenever you can. We start ~0730 and go until ~10. We've got a good mix of 911s, early and late, Caymans, Boxsters, even a couple 944s and 928s, but we put them in the back room with plush toys (j/k Ken!)
B/C is nice when you want a huge crowd; we are kind of at the opposite end of the spectrum, as you can tell from some of the pictures.
