yeah, yeah, it hasn't been that long.

Much as you're pretty I'll take opportunities to visit my wife as often as I can

No. the market is just starting to pick up, but no traction yet. Gotta love being the lowest price house in the segment and still not getting traction... Crappy economy.

My company has pulled a plan together, so there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'll give you an update tomorrow.

Yup. After 8 months it's proving to be hard on the entire family. Not an ideal situation. My wife is handling it well, but I can say I'm happy about not being around to help with the kids.

Good seeing you Saturday morning at the WZ.....you got to make it more often
so you work on developing a Southern accent since you will be moving here....

Wayne,

Go another 12 months and you will tie my "bachelor" stint.

We are closing on the Greenville (actually Simpsonville) house in two days (Thursday).

The only bad thing about my wife coming to SC was that I had to tell my girl friend that I could only see her twice a week instead of four times a week!

It was good to see you all again too. Don't worry, I'll be working on that Southern accent within a couple of months. It won't be long now.

Tim, you have my respect for the long distance relationship you have had with your family. Congrats on the upcoming closing - we'll be visiting this summer.

It takes a special kind of stubbornness to live away from your family. I've lived apart from my wife several times in the course of our relocations, but this one has been the toughest. 8 months away and now having 2 very young kids makes it much harder. I have been away for over 30% of the life of my youngest - not a statistic I'm proud of and I'm hoping that she eventually forgives me when we're in the same location.

Wayne,

Yes, I agree. When young children are involved in the "living apart" situation, it does make it much tougher an the parents. My current situation was not like that since my daughter has been away at college the past couple of years.

We did an 18-month "living apart" stint when my daughter was 13, so that was much tougher that this last one.

Hopefully, your house will sell soon and you can all get back under the same roof again!

We're working on it. My company is trying to put an exit plan in place - that is not without stress and annoyance, but at least it gives is a light at the end of the tunnel.
