Eh... opinions are like as*holes... everybody’s got one! While I love the shape of the 996.1 headlights, I prefer the clear ones... To each his/her/they/them/whatever, their own! Whatever floats your boat - this is what makes Porsches so unique and interesting - very few are alike in any significant way. As for future value, it’ll take a lot more than the type of headlights to impact overall value. I think in another 20-30 years (the likely timeline for 996 values to rise significantly) the automotive landscape will be unrecognizable to those of us who grew up in the age of the internal combustion engine and $.20/gal gasoline. In the mean time, just enjoy driving and modding your car to your hearts content.
The darkened headlights look amazing on your car. I just sold my black ‘00 911 CAB to one of my neighbors. I think he’d be interested in knowing how you did this mod if you don’t mind sharing. 🙏

I used a vinyl film called vvivid light smoke. Super cheap, and probably need to reapply it soon but it’s pretty easy to work with. Buy twice as much as you think you need.

Not bad for a 22 year old 911 with 33K miles. Currently getting the IMSB, UAOS and other maintenance done. The GT3 badge is history 😎

Looks clean. I perfer the simple '911' emblem even though it has a gt3 drivetrain.
That Gt3 badge is just so many levels of uncool, especially on a beige cab with a tip. Did you meet the guy who put it on? Was he as cringey as I think?

That was my 84 Euro in Hellbronze Metallic. 310 HP from the factory. Completely custom car from the hand stitched dash, paint to match color, to the shaved body panels & 80’s correct Wing. The 3000 Watt Audio System was pretty cool too! I’m gonna miss that car, but the 911 ain’t too shabby either 😎
