The springs are color coded with dabs of paint that may or may not be visible. All of the info is in the 996 Enthusiast's Companion. I'll see if I can find the chart for the M030 springs.

To be honest I have not been able to perceive a difference! It's a film designed for headlights and is actually a very light smoke color and not as dark as it appears in the photos. The headlights are in pretty rough shape so I like that the film hides them.

Ha! Sure did. I’ve only had the car two weeks but I’m so glad to be able to enjoy it with them. I have a lot of fond memories of riding in my Dad’s ‘78 SC when I was a kid. I replicated a old pic of me and my older brother with our Dad’s SC and then my boys with our C4S 30 years later! 👍🏼

Absolutely, which is why I'm glad that we have a Tiptronic. Makes it easier to share the car with my wife and (in my case) older kids. (Sorry .... had to put a plug in for the poor Tiptronic stepchild that too often gets dissed).

that is an awesome picture. I sold my corvette so my 4yo could ride with us, and she loves it. sharing the hobby is a lot of fun.

Done car stuff with my dad forever.

When he comes to track days - he’ll supervise the buckling in procedure, give the belts a tug….

Dads being dads… no matter how old their kids are.

408 -18" 993 Turbo Technology hollow spoke wheels

I bought this 996 just over a year ago
Within the last year: IMS solution, clutch, flywheel, AOS, plugs/coil packs, timing chain tensioners and all fluids.
Fuel injectors, waterpump and low temp thermostat next month
I appreciate this car more every day!
