I met a fellow who is marketing an Audi 2.9 turbo swap for 996. He had his demo car on display at a show earlier this year.
Wonder if we can we get a dyno graph of it - that’s a cool combo and could be a good option for forum members to look at.

What a bizarre place this forum is.
I learned many years ago that when I ask for something I don't always get what I asked for...

You do know a public forum is just that...public. Right?

@TexSquirrel can we get some visibility here. This member has no intention (stated) of contributing to the thread.

It would certainly appear as though they are actively trying to incite confrontation. A member offers to help them, and that is the response.

Is this stuff cool with you ?

No problem man. It’s too bad but I think you’re getting more joy out of it than anyone else being distressed.

Which is weird. But whatever, good luck.

Let's keep the fighting and the engine debates out of this thread.
It would be interesting to see dyno graphs of stock and modified M96/XX engines in one place.
I think that's best for this thread unless we end up with scope creep or in-fighting.
Maybe we need a Fight Club thread so this and other threads can remain on topic.
The Off topic thread would also serve this purpose.

I think its valuable to compare swapped 996s as well. Would love to see a LS compared to stock or modified M96. VR6, Subaru etc. Honestly, there's plenty to pick apart about my K24 996 graph compared to my M96. Everyone goes right to (this should be in a Honda forum. Any thing Honda should be banned) instead of actually debating or examining the details of the conversion and how the power was delivered. I was having a host of issues that day and would be up for debate and possible fixes.

It’s almost clear in the OP, then clarified - any motor swapped into a non GT/turbo 996 is good as well as all motors that came stock in non turbo/gt is good. The thread is about looking at all the options and what they do - how much they do and how they do it.

I really really want to see what power levels the stock transaxle taps out at. I’ve heard 500ft/lbs ish but it’s always from someone who hasn’t had experience and is playing a game of telephone.

What transmission is he using on the 2.9? I believe the 3.6 might be too big but not 100% sure.

I believe I can find the one on SD's 1200hp car. I know I've seen it somewhere.
