Looks like the 996 will be the DD sooner than expected!

Nominally 911 related - I put the Porsche Motorsport EPAS pump in my BMW racecar. It actually dropped right into the hole where my charcoal canister used to sit.

Pulled the trigger on some Quickjacks. This is a newer model that is supposed to go 2"-3" higher than the older model. Probably should have done it years ago but better late than never I guess.

The pieces are heavier than what I was expecting...

Currently on sale at Costco for $1,399 and they throw in some blocks and hooks to hang it on the wall.

A fun video of an engine rebuilding itself. It's an old school small block Chevy engine (a classic) not an M96. But still fun to watch.

Wow, good eye! But no, it's not a 'real' Hartge.
It is a European market 1984 323i that I had planned making into a Hartge tribute car. I was able to amass a sizable collection of genuine Hartge stuff but kind of gave up on the whole tribute idea somewhere along the line.
Since I did early retirement last year, I wanted to keep the fleet to no more than five cars. I decided I wanted one more convertible before the DMV won't give me a license anymore so something had to go.
I paid $1,650 for it in May of 2006 and sold it to a friend in Phoenix last Saturday for $12,000 cash.
