Love the name, it seems very fitting!

We are on page 3 and not a single brisket from 3/98? Somebody put a Modello in the window I'm not sure he saw the sign yet.

Smoking meat takes time. We must remain patient but you're right, a Modello or an IPA wouldn't kill!

Pete thanks for this thread man. Great idea. I went on a 40-mile "Tour of Henderson" on my cycle the other day and thought of your comment. Now we have a home to share cycling progress with each other

I've got to get one of those apps like Strava so I can post my routes.

I PMd him and asked him to go hog wild on food and drink ideas on the thread. His bbq skills can lead to a successful Porsche 996 cooking series on YuTube. Who doesn't like food and 911s?

Heck yeah! Strava is a fun platform so give it a go. We have another member here that runs a cool bike shop in NC, I believe. I recently sold one of my road bikes which essentially covered 90% of cost of my new one. That's right, bicycle prices are drifting up too Some bikes and bike part costs really make our 996 parts pretty affordable by comparison.

My bike is so not sexy but I'll post a picture of it once I'm done re-wrapping my handlebars and stuff. It's a black 2003 Klein aluminum frame with carbon forks that my dad gave me to get me into the hobby. I told myself after I hit 10,000 miles cutting my teeth I'll get a dentist bike. My first triathlon is this fall so I figure I'll be able to talk to some folks there and educate myself. I know NOTHING about bikes. But I do know myself - and if I go for this education at a bike store I'll come home with a bike. So for now I'm just riding and enjoying the outdoors before I can cook my dinner on my riding trail.

Edit - those gumwalls are fire on the red frame.

You're doing it right and don't knock a Klein! They are some of the coolest bikes ever made and are actually very well regarded. I think they were one of the first to introduce internal cable routing and had some beautiful paint jobs. Enjoying the ride and outside is what it's all about! Just stay safe out there.

Seriously. Pretty much what happened to me 2 months ago, except it was a car and a hit and run. Just riding along in a residential area and hit from the back. Some broken ribs in the back, T8 and T11 compression fractures on the vertebrates, busted tailbone and sciatic nerve damage.

Key word would be slowly and it will take time. Doc said I was lucky vertebrae stayed intact because the artery is right there and no ambulance would be fast enough in that case. Bones should heal over coming months. Most annoying is the nerve damage which causes random burning sensation in my left arm and leg. Nerves are tricky. They might heal or might not. Should know more Monday.
