Sounds like he doesn’t need/want anymore business.

Id spend my time selling off the IP, if I were Skip. 😎

I don't want any more "interest" in the UIDS . I don't want any more orders.( turned them off 2 months ago) I'm happy with what I got. It is turning into "work" and I am retired and not in good health and will do things my way or not at all..

Yep, same with the 44 different variations of the UAOS..

Designing them was FUN

But building them, stocking them, selling them, answering questions about them, is NOT.

That's why I haven't been "marketing " all the new variations..

Not a chance.....I spent weeks answering questions from him on the UAOS....and he put on a stock AOS..Yes I'm turning into a vindictive SOB

When I die, ( which may not be long off) my Son may sell off the IP, if he wants, even to him,

I just need a " little" something to do..

what a drag. He has to be the most annoying member of any Porsche forum I’ve been on since I started on PP 20yrs ago.

Good luck with your health concerns.

If is me I haven’t replaced my AOS. I did ask questions about the sump but since I don’t track my 99 , I put the $3k in performance upgrades on my car. On a personal note I been promoting skips products at the few track meets I have gone to.

The AOS has not been replaced, according to a manometer is still working, and yes I drove today. Ac blowing cold, almost 101k miles no bore scoring, 1, -1 deviations as off last measurement, and I would not hesitate to drive to the moon and back as it sits right now. I seen the UAOS on an engine that MY mechanic was putting together and yes it looks great, but if it ain’t broke don’t mess with it. Anyway I only have $22k on that 99 so it’s not like it is a million dollar car but is reliable as hell. Also by the way USAA gave me $2175 worth of hail damage. I only spent $300 fixing some bad dings. If the engine doesn’t blow up. I sell it with 150k miles with all his original patina and make money on the car, hell I may sell the turbo and put a 3.8 on the 99. Time will only tell,

Are these going to be commercially available at some point? I missed out on the preorder.

Long story short I bought my first Porsche in May with a 4.0 and all the goodies. I almost immediately had a rod bearing failure so now I am putting a factory short block in the car. Lost my *** but trying to make the best of an awful situation.

Part of getting the car back together includes adding the UAOS from day 1. I was hoping to do the same with the UIDS but some of the comments indicate it may just be the one run for the people that already paid and we’re lucky enough to have been added to the list before ordering was halted. Guessing I just missed out and I understand if this is too much of a chore. Mostly I am just trying to understand if there are plans for the future of the product. Seems like it would be a shame to see something like this fizzle away.

Can’t wait to hear about the experiences of people that put these to the test so I’ll follow the thread regardless.

Right, but if no more are made, the ones in existence will be more valuable...stay tuned

You need a UAOS. How else are you going to safely go supersonic?
